Hello Ladies, I think I have officially had my BIGGEST Bridezilla moment....in a nice way of course but deep down inside I was very upset. Ok, onto how this became about... I was searching FB and came across a wedding blog that I admire A LOT!! I noticed the peacock design my sister drew for me on a design(monogram)....At that moment I was like WTF(excuse my language)..I was in total shock! My second thought was how was the person able to get the design since only less than a handful of people have the design. I have not shared it with anyone with exceptions of certain wedding related services... I contacted the blog that I admire and we discussed the situation and somehow the bride she is working with LIED about how she got it...(my assumption)
I have had many emails about the image and I was def gonna share the image after my wedding BUT not until then!! My sister drew it specifically for me and I def mentioned that on my blog and to my wedding contacts. The image was NOT to be used by anyone or COPY RIGHTED!! My sister is a artist by trade it is what she does for a living!!
Honestly, after I contacted the blog I admire I felt really bad and expressed my apologize because she was just providing a service for another bride....My issue is with the bride(I totally wish I could get in contact with her!!) But then when I think about it....NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE SOMETHING THAT IS NOT THEIRS...plain in simple!! If you like something ASK!! Its only right!! Especially that my sister worked hard to capture my vision!!
I contacted my sister and she is on top of things about this..I hope she can resolve this because it is her work!!
I def feel some type of way about this!! Am I over reacting???
PS My advice to other brides if you don't want this to happen to you...DON'T SHARE YOUR IMAGINE AT ALL PUBLICLY!! Wait until after you printed your design on your invites!! From what my sister stated is that anyone could manipulate a photo design....
PSS I have taken down all of my post related to my peacock design(monograms, design and etc)
yup you have every right especially if it was stated that it was copyrighted. She really should of just asked .I would of been just as upset, dont let this bring you down thou thanks for the tip sometimes we forget and post everything not thinking twice that something like this can happen.
