Hosting Bridal Shower
Hi Ladies, I havent been on here in months... ive missed it, but just super busy and haven't needed any wedding advice. Well, I hosted my first bridal shower last August it was a huge success, and now I am standing in another wedding this May.
We chose a Sex and the City theme for that shower, but this one needs to be something different, but just as unique....

The shower is going to March or the 1st weekend in April. Do you ladies have any unique suggestions for shower themes.

Honeymoon
Back from MeXiCo
we left the monday after our wedding, and we definitly could have re-couped and left on tuesday. but, it was amazing...we just took it easy the first day.
we had an airport limo pick us up at 5am, and we made it to the airport by 6....and boarded the plane about an hour later. We were en-route to sunny MEXICO. when we arrived we were so excited, got a taxi to the resort and were in the Riviera Maya about an hour later. Our resort was FaBuLoUs. glass of champagne as we checked in....and then the fun began. We drank, ate, and were Married.

Hi Ladies....
I have been taking my life back from being consumed by our wedding. The day turned out almost perfect. There were a few things that went wrong, but what can you do. Let it go and move on.
There is nothing you can do 15 minutes before leaving and your dress wont unzip, haha, force it over your head and tape it on the inside. :)

Bobby Brown was at our after party spot, Holiday INN. Too funny, he has so many issues! But, all our guests had fun getting their pics taken with a has been performer.

Well ladies, we have one groomsmen at our house, 2 more in the air. 1 arriving in the am. All my girls will be driving in tomorrow morning along with my dad, brother, and a few friends.
I am stressed to the max, and have no time to mess around. I am signing off.
I wanted to leave you with this......A year and a half of planning, and its finally here.
I have my dress, I have my veil, my groom has his tux, and at the end of the day us being together is the only thing that is important. My table numbers are cute, and our centerpieces will be darling, but will our guests even notice????who knows, and if they do will they remember them a year from now. I doubt it. Everyone will remember they attended our wedding, and it was FUN! My only advice is dont get in over your head on DIY, it adds so much detail, but also takes so much away from your life. I can say now, I enjoyed wedding planning until the projects came along. I was over it, and still have a lot to do tonight.
For the other brides getting married this weekend or this summer, and even further in the future GOOD LUCK!

I wanted to leave you with what I still have to get done in less than 24 hours.

Get groomsmen each a bottle of alcohol and bridesmaids a bottle of wine
Decide on wedding jewelry, to wear my moms pears or not
Jewelery for Reception dress just have to get a bracelet
Make large picture to display on gift table, with asel
Pick up programs
Finish menus 40 left
Make sure I get something borrowed
Make final payment with limo driver
Put tip for DJ and photographer in envelopes

and Escort Cards check
well, pretty much check....I have to add rhinestones to 15, but it will take literally 5 mins. I just have to run back to Michaels.
I have about 50 menus still to cut out, and glue down. I stopped for the night on those my neck is hurting from looking down the whole time to cut them.
We went to the court house today and got our marriage license.
I also found the shoes to wear with my 2nd dress.....YAY! they are pretty cute, not 100% what I wanted, but still very cute. I was looking for something with rhinestones, and a tall heal. I couldnt find that combo together. So I went with gold and tall heels.
I picked up my daughter a cute little pair of shoes for her dress, she will be in sandles instead of dress shoes. I want her in a bow, but im pretty sure she will refuse.
We also picked up my son his gift for being our ring bearer.
While we were running around today we stopped and confirmed our rehearsal dinner and finalized the alcohol choices. We got our final quote from the country club......the headcount went down a bit, but they worked with us and gave us the 30 less than guarantee at 1/2 price. Tomorrow we have to take a check for a little over 7K to finalize with them along with the table numbers, escort cards, cake serving set, toasting flutes, and boxes of hot sauce.

Find hair fascinator, but I saw some cute ones online at Davids Bridal..... hopefully they are in stock tomorrow

Prepare a “reception box” to be dropped off on thurs. toasting goblets, cake serving set, favors, escort cards, menus
Prepare day-of emergency kit, and reception dress, jewelery and shoes
Pack for Honeymoon, most of the shopping is done.....just a few more things
Finish cleaning my house ALMOST there

If tomorrow is at productive as today, I will be completely done by Friday morning.....just in time to get my nails done and lay out in the sun or get spray tanned.

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
OUR Bands Are Back
We picked up our bands last week. Here they are...... I love mine, it looks B-EA-UTIFUL with my ring. The pic isnt doing anything for it..... The FH loves his, and says its very comfortable.
Well, I am just working on the last of the menus. haha, I have 70 to do still. But, the week is young. I am done working until July 28.
Tomorrow is all the final purchases.....I hope to be nearly done by tomorrow night, so I can clean and pack for the honeymoon on Thurs. Then just relax and make sure I have everything ready to go on Friday.

Since I am obsessed with my To-Do list here it is 3 days to Go, haha, im a multi tasking machine.

Today is a new day. I have so far been at work for 4 hours, and have written my entire program. I uploaded it and emailed it to a print shop. Hopefully, they can have it done by Wed so I can hole punch and tie them with a ribbon. I want them to look similar to this picture, but I understand I cannot be too picky since I only have a week to go though.
I'm not really sure why I waited so long to even consider programs.....Oh, well they will be fine im sure.
I still have 100 Menus to finish.
I am meeting with my florist tonight, hopefully everything will be set in stone, and I can be done with that until next Saturday. It will be nice to clean all the boxes out of my car too. I have tons of votives, and vases to drop off to her.
Then I can fill it back up with all the boxes to go to the country club next Thursday.

DIY Wedding

OK, LADIES THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE NIGHT. I CAME HOME WITH INTENTIONS OF DOING SOME WEDDING STUFF, GOING TO THE GYM, AND FINISHING THE NIGHT WITH WEDDING STUFF.
NOW ITS 12:53 AND I HAVE FINISHED 17 OF THE 120 MENUS THAT NEED TO BE DONE.
THE FAM AND I LEFT AT 7 O'CLOCK TONIGHT TO RUN TO HOBBY LOBBY AND MY OFFICE TO PICK UP THE PAPER CUTTER.
IT BEGAN STORMING LIKE CRAZY, SO I STOPPED AT OFFICE MAX TO SEE IF THEY HAD A REAM OF RED CARDSTOCK......THEY DID NOT. I WALKED BACK OUT IN THE STORM, AND WENT TO HOBBY LOBBY, WALKED IN FORGOT MY DEBIT CARD, WALKED BACK OUT, NOW IM DRENCHED.
I WENT IN WITH MY 40% COUPON AND GRABBED A GUEST BOOK PEN, A BLACK FEATHER, AND COUNTED OUT 50 PIECES OF RED CARD STOCK. I WENT TO THE FRONT, AND SPENT 24 BUCKS, SCANNED MY DEBIT CARD......IT SAID CARD ERROR......OVER AND OVER AND OVER. THE MANAGER CAME UP AND DID SOMETHING IVE NEVER SEEN EVER. HE PUT A PLASTIC BAG OVER MY CARD AND SWIPED IT.....VOILA IT WORKED. STRANGEST THING EVER. SO I GO BACK OUT. NOW ITS NOT RAINING AS HARD, AND THE FH FLICKS THE KEY, THE LIGHTS FLICKED, THE CD PLAYER STARTED SHUFFELING DISKS, NOTHING. THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WHILE I WAS IN THE STORE HE LEFT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND THE HEADLIGHTS DRAINED IT.
OMG, ARE YOU KIDDING ME WAS ALL I COULD SAY. WE CALL ROADSIDE ASST. AND THEY SAID WITHIN THE HOUR. WE WENT AND GRABBED FOOD NEXT DOOR, AND WATCHED FOR THEM. I NEVER SAW THEM, BUT SUPPOSEDLY THEY CAME.
WE HAD TO CALL BACK NOW ITS 9 PM. THEY SAID AN HOUR AND 20 MINS. BUT, THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER CALLED MY CELL AND SAID 20 MINS. HE SHOWED UP, JUMPED IT.....WELL ATTEMPTED TO THE DANG CAR WOULDNT START. THE BATTERY WAS DONE. SO THE FH RODE HOME WITH HIM, GOT MY CAR AND CAME BACK. THEN WENT AND BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY. THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE NIGHT, BUT IM STILL WORKING. Our wedding day is going to be a traditional Lutheran service minus the communion. Red and Aqua are the colors. I am going for a chic/traditional theme. Very elegant, but flashy at the same time. It is going to be perfect. And should be after all the time, stress, and some tears I have put into planning.
