Okay....here it goes. I am totally confused about my cake. Is anyone else looking at millions of different types of cakes and completely overwhelmed?? Tasting is the easy part, it's what is gonna go on the darn outside of the thing that I'm having a hard time with.

Okay, to refresh everyones memory, our cake topper is a glittery castle in white. Now, at first I was thinking that I would have a cake with flowers on it. But the more I think about it, the flowers just don't go with the castle. So now I'm thinking scroll work and a monogram. But I'm worried that it is going to look too busy. OR I was thinking having scroll work on the top layer, monogram (actually M & M...to tie in with the personalized M&M candies that Matt wants) on the middle and "Happily Ever After" on the bottom. But a friend of mine had writing on her cake and it just looked messy...I think I would die if people couldn't read the writing on my cake.

Also, I'm totally in love with the crystal banding...but I can't actually find it on a REAL cake. This pictures posted are the only ones I can seem to find and it's not even a real cake! So, have any of you ladies seen the crystal banding in person? What do we think? Flowers or no? Is crystal banding, a glitter castle and scroll work too much? If you had to simplify, what would you take away? If you see a favorite please let me know the number!
