Updates on Centerpieces and More!
Well, it has been quite a busy week....
My Mom and I went out and got all the stuff to start on a centerpieces prototype. It turned out beautifully! We used wired ribbon, babys breath, paper roses, moss and clear/pink beads and gemstones. Ever since I was a little girl, my Mom made EVERYTHING. Halloween costumes, Barrettes for my hair, Gifts for my Teachers and classmates at school for every holiday...I was always the coolest kid on the block thanks to my Mom's crafty ways. I am so thankful that she is able to make these centerpieces because they are exactly what I want and I trust her more than anyone to make them.

We did run into one small problem. We discovered that these 8 1/2" carriages may be too small for the 10-12 seater tables we will be using at the reception. So we will use these smaller carriages and order some larger ones for the tables. Anyone have any suggestions as to what size we should use? We will still use these carriages on the gift table and with the guest book...or maybe on our sweetheart table!

I also had a great coupon at Michaels...50% off! And we got the Unity Candle holder. It's perfect and what a steal!

We also went to Handcock Fabrics to see about making wings for the flowergirls. While we were there we saw these perfect little white wings! They were 50% off and with a few alterations they will be gorgeous! We plan on adding rhinestones to the trim (see photos) and roses to the middle section.

For most of these DIY's we plan on using real dried roses rather than paper roses. Does anyone know of a website where we can buy full dried roses at a good price? We are going to dry some ourselves but if we can buy them pre-dried that would be awesome!

The last photo shows the labels we will be using on the Mini Candy Bars for part of the favors. I plan on using 12 different sayings on them. Including things like "Happily Ever After", "True Loves Kiss", "Love is so Sweet" and so on.

Well, thats pretty much it...thoughts and comments welcome!!

i was thinking, why not use the smaller ones and just surround them with fake flower pedels or fake flowers? that would make the "centerpiece" look bigger and takes up more room ont he table! My friend had centerpieces that ended up looking small on a big table she just made a circle of fake flowers and vines and placed them ont eh table with the actual centerpiece in the middle of it!
Just a thought! but those are a very neat idea! and my mom made everything growing up too!
good luck hun!
