Budget minded wedding decorations without being cheap!
When I started my company I realized that you could still decorate high end without paying high end prices. Ladies, I have to interject that budget does not mean cheap, or free. I am always getting asked to lower my prices by using cheap flowers. It’s your wedding, why would you want to do any of it cheaply. Prioritizing your needs and sticking to a budget are another matter. Remember by coming to Budget Blooms you are hiring a professional to design and make your floral arrangements.
Budget Blooms can help you have the look of a high end wedding and pay less than half of the cost due to our low overhead. We do not have a store front that requires us to hit a bottom line every month. We do not keep flowers in our cooler that we need to use up. Every flower at your wedding or event will only be a few days old. We buy specifically for your wedding or event and use all the flowers we buy for your event. If there are extras, you will get them. We use a minimum amount of greenery in our arrangements and bouquets as the flowers are the focus. They are the beauty.
In my years of designing weddings on a budget I have realized that you need to concentrate on the areas that matter most to you instead of trying to cover it all. Your bouquets and boutonnieres will be in almost all of your wedding pictures. You guests will sit at the dinner table listening to speeches, eating dinner, chatting and admiring your centerpieces. Your centerpieces can also be used to thank people who have helped you with your wedding, they make a great gift. The Church/Wedding venue is probably the shortest part of the day. It does need to be decorated but only the focal point. Altar stands are a great way to do this, and they can pull double duty by being moved to the venue to be used as buffet arrangements, behind the head table, entryway and the list goes on.
Using seasonal flowers helps with pricing and don’t be afraid to use roses and orchids. They last and when bought through Budget Blooms are very affordable. Be aware that getting married on a special day such as Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day or at Christmas adds an additional 40-60% onto all your prices. Vases are a huge expense and who wants to be stuck with 20 vases that you will never use again. Why not talk to us about our innovative way to dispense with vases for your centerpiece, yet still have the same look.
Remember that the world is filled with colourful ideas. Why not use Limes, apples, fabric, coloured water or sand from the beach to decorate your wedding. Flowers are an important part but mix them with vegetables and herbs to make them your own. Collect old glass from the Salvation Army to use as your vases on the tables, at $1 to $2 a vase it can save you some money and give you a few enjoyable shopping days. I hope we have been able to help. Enjoy.
