Wedding Reception
two really cool centerpiece ideas!
I found these two really cool ideas at: http://pandbwedding.blogspot.com/
she has some amazing ideas, go check it out! JELLO CENTERPIECES: Can you believe it? Jello centerpieces? What a unique idea. If you like this idea, here are directions on how to make it. I got this picture and directions from Wedding Obsession, but I guess it originally came from Rachel Ray. - Combine six boxes of Jell-O powder in half the amount of water specified (to get a more vibrant color). - Chill the mix in your choice of vase for approximately 30 minutes. - Push the flowers into the semi-firm gelatin. Photo Centerpiece How-To Disassemble three like-sized frames, setting aside their fronts and discarding their backings. Paint or stain wooden frames desired color; let dry. Upload or scan photographs into a computer. With editing software, make the images black and white, and resize them to fit your frames. Print them onto vellum paper with an ink-jet printer. Slip the images into the frames. Using cloth tape, hinge frames together to form a triangle. Stand frames around a candle in a protective glass holder. |

About us
Survey
How long did you date before you got engaged?
About 1- 2 weeks ;-) Did you get the ring you wanted? We haven't ordered them yet but we found perfect ones, unique just like us Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes! He was drunk and we had only been dating 2 weeks Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? I don't have a diamond yet. We will see if its perfect when we get it Did you cry when he proposed? No I was too shocked Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like. Creative to say the least! He was looking for an onion ring to put on my finger LOL When do you want to go for your honeymoon? Um after the wedding of course Are you buying his wedding band for him? We are buy our rings as a set Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Yeah our budget changes monthly What day of the year will your wedding be? June 12th a Saturday What kind of weather? Hopefully warm Inside or outside? I really want an outdoor wedding but we are still debating Church/justice of the peace/other? One of FH friends is a pastor and he said he will marry us, for FREE! How many people will be there? About 100 give or take Time of day? I think sunset would be romantic but it depends on where the reception is, it the reception is outside then it will be earlier in the day (we have a lot of kids attending the wedding and i don't want them to get cold or sick) Any kind of theme? Not really... Just really romantic and intimate How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? probably 4 or 5... they would be my cousins What kind of cake/what will it look like? My cousin works at Oliver's market and makes very pretty cakes for very cheap. I'm hoping it to have red ribbon on it and maybe red frosting spirals, I'm not really sure what she can do yet. Where will you have the reception? Either at a park or in a church. It depends on where the ceremony will be at What kind of dress will you have/color/material? We have no money to buy a dress... so I am hoping that my Nana still has her wedding dress for my to wear. It is very pretty and kind of my style too. If not then I'm probably going to have a dress for about $100 What kind of flowers in your bouquet? I want red roses with little star flowers and pearls Kind of engagement ring? See Post Kind of wedding bands? See post How will you wear your hair? I would like it half up half down, that's how FH likes it best Who will be important to be there? Our family and few close friends Will the reception be big or small? Well we both have huge families What will the groom wear? Whatever he wants, tux wise of course Where will you go for the honeymoon? We are not sure... We are trying not so spend over $1000, not looking promising How long? We are hoping at least 5 nights What will you do? Aside from the obvious, still not sure Will it be modest or costly? Very modest What will you stay in? Not sure How old will you and the groom be? I will be 20 and he will be 21 How long will you be engaged before you get married? Almost 2 years Live together before or wait till married? We have been living together for over a year now Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? I'm taking a long time to plan it but only because we wont have any money to pay for the wedding until about 2 months before so i want to KNOW what we need and want, it will probably look very thrown together and i really dont want that Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? So far I'm doing it myself, I'm not sure how much help I'll get Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? I think writing your own vows is so much more personal and romantic but my man will not like the idea, he has trouble articulating |

Wedding Cake
olivers market
my cousin samantha works at olivers market in the bakery. she did my nana and papa's 60th anniversary cake for $50. it had the fontant (sp?) cream on it, which i dont like at all so im going to see if she can use some other kind of frosting. the cake at the anniversary party was really beautiful. im hoping to be able to incorporate red into the cake but without (or very few) flowers. maybe some ribbon or red frosting design

The Proposal
how he proposed
We had been dating for a week or so and we were celebrating my birthday. i had a family party at my house and he met my family for the first time. everything went great. we then went over to our friends house and had another party (not really for my birthday). there was some drinking and my fiance (hes a lightweight lol) got a bit more than tipsy. our friends left to bring another friend home and me and my fiance where there alone. at some point he stumbled into the kitchen and soon asked me to join him. i thought he needed me to get him something, him being a bit unsteady and all. but no, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. i dont remember all he said because i was kind of shocked, i didnt see this coming at all. i kind of said yes but told him to ask me again in the morning when he was sober. he didnt have a ring or anything prepared so he was looking around the kitchen for onion rings to put on my finger... the next morning he turned to me instantly and asked me again. i said yes without hesitation, hes made me the happiest ive ever been
