JELLO CENTERPIECES: Can you believe it? Jello centerpieces? What a unique idea. If you like this idea, here are directions on how to make it. I got this picture and directions from Wedding Obsession, but I guess it originally came from Rachel Ray.
- Combine six boxes of Jell-O powder in half the amount of water specified (to get a more vibrant color).
- Chill the mix in your choice of vase for approximately 30 minutes.
- Push the flowers into the semi-firm gelatin.
Photo Centerpiece How-To
Disassemble three like-sized frames, setting aside their fronts and discarding their backings. Paint or stain wooden frames desired color; let dry. Upload or scan photographs into a computer. With editing software, make the images black and white, and resize them to fit your frames. Print them onto vellum paper with an ink-jet printer. Slip the images into the frames. Using cloth tape, hinge frames together to form a triangle. Stand frames around a candle in a protective glass holder.
here is one idea I might do. buy heart shaped glass bowls, water rocks, and floating candles with some tea lights around it, should be very pretty!

Either at a park or in a church. It depends on where the ceremony will be at
What kind of dress will you have/color/material?

Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding?
So far I'm doing it myself, I'm not sure how much help I'll get
Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?
I think writing your own vows is so much more personal and romantic but my man will not like the idea, he has trouble articulating
my cousin samantha works at olivers market in the bakery. she did my nana and papa's 60th anniversary cake for $50. it had the fontant (sp?) cream on it, which i dont like at all so im going to see if she can use some other kind of frosting. the cake at the anniversary party was really beautiful. im hoping to be able to incorporate red into the cake but without (or very few) flowers. maybe some ribbon or red frosting design
my bridesmaids, maybe
ive asked my cousin amanda to be my maid of honor. we have always been very close, but i have no one else to ask. im probably going to have my other cousins be my other bridesmaids. samantha, angelina, and heather. that only leaves out karina but she lives in portland and might not be able to make it down. we will see how this goes
how he proposed
We had been dating for a week or so and we were celebrating my birthday. i had a family party at my house and he met my family for the first time. everything went great. we then went over to our friends house and had another party (not really for my birthday). there was some drinking and my fiance (hes a lightweight lol) got a bit more than tipsy. our friends left to bring another friend home and me and my fiance where there alone. at some point he stumbled into the kitchen and soon asked me to join him. i thought he needed me to get him something, him being a bit unsteady and all. but no, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. i dont remember all he said because i was kind of shocked, i didnt see this coming at all. i kind of said yes but told him to ask me again in the morning when he was sober. he didnt have a ring or anything prepared so he was looking around the kitchen for onion rings to put on my finger... the next morning he turned to me instantly and asked me again. i said yes without hesitation, hes made me the happiest ive ever been
