This is butterfly8's Purple Wedding!

I've had a few showers already and still have to send thank-you cards. I was thinking of waiting until after the wedding so that I could send a picture with the cards. Would that be ok or should I get cracking and send out thank-you cards now?

We finally got all the dresses ordered for my bridesmaids. I let them all choose their own style dress since they're all different body types. All in purple of course! ( Actually the colour I chose is called passion)
I found a pic of each of the dresses on the Dessy Group website and put them into this one pic to see how it would look together. They all got a tea length dress with some sort of sash around the waist but the styles are a bit different. I know this pic looks like the dresses aren't all the same colour but thats computer technology for you lol.

Bryan took me out on an awesome date. We went to a local Red lobster for my favourite meal. Which during he got a phone call from his grandmother (later i found out she was checking on how the date was going-- how cute!) Then we went to see a movie in the park. That was so romantic... I'd always wanted to watch a movie outside in a park. At the end of the night he dropped me off at home and said he would call me when he got home. Thinking it was just a normal date started getting ready for bed after he left and was almost sleeping when I started hearing a noise from outside. I realized it was some kind of music... a guitar! I looked out my window and there was Bryan playing a song he had wrote for me when we first started dating. I openend my window and said "What are you doing?" haha. He told me to come outside and there he finished the song and said that he had something for me in his shirt pocket. I took the box out of his pocket and opened it to see my ring!!. He asked me to marry him and of course i said yes!

This is my favourite of the cake designs that I've seen. Bryan and I like the idea of the different shape from a traditional cake. The purple Iris' along the front were also a selling feature for me.

I've always loved purple and butterflies so thats my wedding theme of course. I found the perfect invitations to fit too. This pic isnt really that great (cell phone cam) but I was so excited that I found these.

Sorry but i'm not a mariah fan. I've just always loved purple and butterflies. I read somewhere that my name (Vanessa) means butterfly and ever since i've been hooked!

When I saw this pic I just fell in love with the bouquet. Purple is my colour, and this has so many great flowers -- just beautiful!!
For the bridesmaids I want to use hydrangeas for their bouquets, I just love the shape. Delphiniums are perfect for my centerpieces because of their height and that they have so many blossums along the stems. And of course they'll be in purple!! :)
