Bridesmaids
dresses
i love these dresses from Dessey.com my colors are gold white and fuschia. so i was thinking of having the girls in gold dresses and there boquets be fuschia peony. each girl will have a different dress but they will all be the same color and fabric. I say this because every girl is a different shape and size and i want them to be comfrontable. My plan is to take all the girls and have them pick out their own dress. im hoping they all pick Satin as the fabric LOL

venting
:/
uugghh its such a disappointment when you have so much planned and so many ideas of what you want and your ready to get things on the ball but your limited or you can't due to $. uuggghhh im starting to get stressed out & im thinking that this will not be. the wedding is in 12 months and i dont really have nothing booked except for the church. If $ wasn't an issue things would go so much smoother but lets face the fact it is. hours from work are getting cut and it just seems like bills on top of bills are coming out of no where. With all this im still motivated to pull this wedding off it just kind of sucks when you cant make any moves.

i really want to have a well wish vase at the reception where the guest write on a note card and give me and fh words of wisdom or whatever it may be. And i also wanted to have a card box. so i've decided to do a card box and have that has the well wish "vase" too. this way i can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Guests
cutting down
so i just finished my guest list (rough draft) and its already at 175 ppl and that's just my family (my Family is HUGE) with a COUPLE of friends. This is not good because i still haven't included my FH family & we are only paying for a dinner big enough for 200 people and as that is its already EXPENSIVE. Especially since were paying for all of this ourselves. So im sorta stuck because im starting to feel bad by crossing people off the list and not inviting them :( but at the same time its to expensive to invite everybody. I would love for EVERYONE to come but its just not in our budget
Would it just be rude to invite certain people to the dinner part of the reception?? |

Wedding Favors
??
so im really not to big on the idea of doing a wedding favor just because every wedding or party I've been to the favors go to waste as in get left behind or people just dont take them. And since were paying for this wedding by ourselfs i would hate for our $ to be wasted. so im kind of debating if i really want a favor or not. If i do end up doing one i want something that i know people will use. Here are my top choices of what i would want if i did do a favor

This is it no unity candle or unity sand going with the Cord of three strands
Cord of three strands - God's knot
God's Knot - Cord of Three Strands
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." This passage from Ecclesiastes 4:12 illustrates the importance of Christian companionship. Two Christians that are bound together in Christ are stronger than the individuals themselves. We believe that Christian marriage is about more than the union of one man and one woman. The Bible teaches us that God performs a miracle in our marriage, uniting us together in a covenant relationship with Him as one. The Cord of Three Strands is a symbol of that sacred union created on your wedding day. The cord of three strands symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman, and God into a marriage relationship. Marriage takes three; you, your soon to be spouse, and God. It was God who taught us to love. By keeping Him at the center of your marriage, His love will continue to bind you together as one throughout your marriage. The cord of three strands ceremony is a great addition to a traditional wedding ceremony. It adds a truly unique element to your ceremony that friends and family will remember. It can also serve as a substitute for the unity candle. This is useful for situations where candles may not be used, or may be difficult. The Cord of Three Strands works well as a substitute in outside weddings. At some point in the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom braid the Cord of Three Strands together. The groom holds a small metal ring with three attached strands. The bride then braids the strands together, symbolizing the union of God, husband and wife. The colors of the cords is significant. God's Knot Gold Strand - Represents God at the center of the Marriage The Lord Jesus has been invited to the position of authority in this marriage relationship. Purple Strand - Represents the Groom The majesty of God is head over the husband. As a husband submits himself to the Lord, the Lord in turn will hold the marriage together through the husband. White Strand - Represents the Bride This strand represents the purity of the bride of Christ. As each has received Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, they are cleansed through Christ. |
