This is canadianbride's Pink Wedding!

I have been so busy today!! i finished the ring bearer pillow! im soo impressed with how it turn out. i added a strap on it because my ring bearer (nephew) will only be 11 months old. i dont think he will be able to hold it.

i have seen so many brides do this for their wedding, i had to try it too! i love it!! im going to make about 8 of them and hang them over the chairs lining the aisle.

i am going to hang these letters on one of the entrance doors. i got the supplies for them at michaels. SUPER EASY !! i think they will be an nice added touch.

i bought these paper lanterns from Michaels. They were $2.49CND. i was going to make paper pom poms but now that i have these, im not going to anymore. i think i bought like 14 in total. pink and white. i'll put a bunch behind the head table and some hanging in the windows. or something like that. we'll see!

I just bought my sexy garter! im so excited for korey to rip it off me! haha!

so here is the 'trial' centerpiece. picture it with a fish swimming around in it and petals scattered around it and minus the gerbera at the bottom.

so i added another gerbera and some petals...now all i need to get is the FISH!!

im gonna be all blinged out! ... i still have to get a bracelet tho.

i bought my shoes!! i bought them at walmart for $10!! some may say im cheap, but i think im smart! haha. (ok, and a little cheap) but they look great on, they're white!, and the heel size is perfect! (yes, i am wearing heels, lol, i know how this is a touchy subject lately..haha)

i am inviting people only to the reception portion of the evening. so, i need to make up different invites for them. im having an issue with how to word their invites tho. this is what i was thinking of putting:

so, i was thinking of putting a pink fish in each of the centerpieces. what do you ladies think of that?? personally i dont see an issue with it, but i have been off the mark before so im asking for advice! lol.

I booked my day of makeup at MAC!! i am so excited! i have heard such good things about them. i have to buy $45 worth of product and you get the makeup for FREE! (well, kinda) lol..but the plus is i get to take whatever i buy home with me. so im getting lashes, lip gloss and mascara probably. also, i got a complimentary makeup session because i registered with the bay, which mac has a booth in. YAY!! another thing checked off the list!!!

i finally finished my bathroom baskets!! yay!! another thing off the list!!

i made photo albums for the bridesmaids. i think they're cute!


I bought some flimsy little photo albums from walmart, some fabric and ribbon. i wrapped the photo ablum with fabric like you would a present, glued it down with hot glue, and put a piece of black card stock on the inside part of the cover flaps. then used my pink ribbon to make a lovely bow!

i added a 't-shirt' transfer to all the bags. it was really easy and i think they look a lot better than they did before. lol..i wasnt impressed with the job i did on them, so this is what i added. they still have their names on the other side of them tho.

when do you have your guests return their rsvp replys by? how long before the wedding date should they be in?

OK, so i think with this one i may be biting off more than i can chew, but im stubborn and im doing it anyway! lol.

I am either having my ceremony inside or out. Regardless its going to be in August and prolly pretty warm. So, two birds with one stone, I am making program fans! My inspiration came from this new book I ordered from amazon.com, The DIY Bride. Its a great book. I will post my finished product when im done.

I'm trying to find the perfect cocktail to serve at my wedding. I know I want something pink!...If anyone knows of any yummy pink cocktails, I'd love to hear them!

I finished the tote bags today!! I am not totally pleased with them, but at this point Im so finished DIY projects!!!!! sometimes i think i bit off more than i could chew!! well, i hope they like them!

the black one is for my MOH and i got three pink totes for my bridesmaids.

I finished the outer shell of the invations! Which in my opinion, is the hardest and most work. Now I have to work on the inserts. I dont think that will take me too long.

adivce....when buying your cardstock or paper of any kind...buy it all then and there!!! I bought half at one point because I was being silly and cheap, i thought it would take some stress of the ol' wallet book...anyways...when i went back to the store to get the rest of the paper......THEY DISCONTINUED IT!!!!!!! and had no more in stock!!! SO! i had to get black instead of pink...i now have half black and half pink..hahaha...oh well, i guess it could have been worse. they turned out nice anyways.

I think this is fabulous! you can have custom printed M&Ms made for your big day! this would also be awesome if you're having a candy buffet! I will have to run some numbers before i decide whether i can afford it or not yet...but its very cute!

I am getting these blinged out disposable cameras for my bridesmaids. Instead of giving out disposables to everyone I just want the girls to have one each to take snap shots of the day/night. But! i want them to forever be stylish, so these bedazzeled disposables are PERFECT!

Here is an example of a sand ceremony that i really liked...

“Love is the eternal force of life.

“To symbolize the importance of the individuals within the marriage and the joining of two lives into one entity, three colours of sand will now be layered into a vase.”

(Give Bride clear jar of pink sand, then Groom a clear jar of blue sand. The Officiant has one small clear jar filled with a neutral colour sand and a large empty jar).

“We begin with a layer of neutral sand which symbolizes that the marriage is grounded.”

(Officiant pours a little of the neutral sand into the jar)

“Then we layer the individual colours. This symbolizes that the marriage is based on the strength of the individuals.”

(Groom pours a little of the blue sand in first, followed by a little more of the neutral sand from the Officiant. Bride then adds a little pink sand, followed by some additional neutral sand from the Officiant).

“And now we combine the colours, which symbolizes two lives joined as one together forever.”

(Groom and Bride simultaneously pour their remaining sand into the large jar until their jars are empty. The Officiant caps off the sand with the last of the neutral sand. The Officiant then holds the large jar up as if presenting to the wedding audience and places the jar to the side).

This is a picture of someone else's handy work, so i cant take credit yet! but this is what i plan to do. i will get the letter and rhinestones from Michaels. I'll post my great work when Im finished! lol

My groom is wearing black tux with white vest and tie. The groomsmen are all wearing black tux with fuschia vest and tie.

These are some ideas i came across for centerpieces. I am finding it kinda frustrating tho. I cant make up my mind on what i want.

Im still on the lookout for cute and inexpensive outfits. but these are what i like so far.

This is it! I designed these last night on my computer and printed them off at Walmart! Thank God I'm done. These things were so much hassel!! I wasn't even going to do them, until someone in the family told me I should so ppl can book holidays. Whatevs!! lol

**advice**, i sent out my save-the-date cards. first of all, NO ONE KNEW WHAT THEY WERE! some thought they were the invites and others were like, i need more information!! SO! if i were to do them again, i would make sure i put at the bottom "INVITATION TO FOLLOW" haha...i thought people knew what these were so i didnt even think to put that in. but as i have been scoping out other save the dates on here, everyone else seemed to be smart enough to write it in! haha..oh well, if its had to be something, im glad it was this that i screwed up on.

I have finally finished my card box!! I'm really please with how it turned out too. In total, I think it only costed me like $20!!

I found the boxes at Walmart for $10..the set of three were on sale. They're actually wicker baskets that I covered with decorative paper that i got from the dollar store (5 sheets for $1!!!) The letters are from Michael's which were a couple of bucks, and then the ribbon was from walmart too.

I have decide to do my "guest book" on a painted black canvas. I will supply a pink and white paint marker and people can go to town on it. I like this idea because Ill be able to display it in my house as a piece of art.

This estate is an early 20th century spanish designed home, now owned by the city of London. It is surrounded by 68 acres of parkland, which is awesome for pictures. We are using the larger room shown in one of the pictures for the ceremony and dancing. We are using the patio outside for people to mingle and enjoy the food. We will be having speeches and the first dance outside. After that, the inside will be opened once again for the party!! For the rest of the evening, guests can explore the house and the grounds. We will decorate using minimal items that will only accentuate the house and grounds by using white lights, pink flowers, ivy garlands, pictures of us, and candles.

I have a bubble machine that im going to use at my wedding. When Korey and I walk out of the ceremony outside, there will be hundreds of bubbles in the air!! This will look so awesome in the pictures! and it just adds a little something special i think!!

I want to do a candy buffet table so bad!! but i dont know where to get the candy from for a reasonable price! ... any ideas??

I had the girls order their dresses from the Alfred Angelo colour seperates line. Alfred Angelo has an interactive website page for the seperates. They can pick any top and bottoms they want and mix and match them right on the site. Also on this page, you can click on the colour swatches to turn the skirt/top you want, that colour.

The only thing I wanted was that they had the same colour and that all the skirts were short. (except the MOH) Other than that they had free reign. It made it a lot easier on me too.

This is the perfect option for your girls if you have a definite colour in mind but want your girls to feel and look great! Everyones body type is different, so making all your girls wear the same dress seems silly to me, because one person may not be comfortable or even worse, not look good!

Yet another great thing about getting married!!! .... A NEW PAIR OF SHOES!!!

I have been keeping my eye open for potential picture ops...
...here is what i have found so far

THIS IS IT!...well, similar to this one but swaping the pink for white and vice versa (Korey put his foot down on the pink! hahaha)

I just spoke to a couple of florists and I think I have made my decision on who I'm going with....AND! even better, I have decided on what kind of flowers I want to have....
....
1)bridal bouquet - tight bouquet full of fuscia roses with a french twisted handle.
2)BM bouquets - white and light pink gerbera daisies
3)Groom's Bout - fuscia rose
4)groomens' Bout - white rose (I was going to go with white gerbs for the guys, but I was told by one of the florists that they dont have lasting power...so, any hugs will make them wittle)
5)rose petals - flowers girls will carry them in their baskets and sprinkled along the white isle runner

I found this invitation online somewhere and I thought it was such a good idea. Since I have inserts this was the best way to go. Mine are going to be the same basic design but fuscia instead of black and vice versa. Right now I'm trying to find a design of my own to put on the inserts but so far I got nothing!

This was such an awesome find!! I was trying on dresses at a local dress shop and was drawn towards this one. And by shear luck it happened to be on sale that day only! It was $400!!!!!!! I still can't believe it. I think it was regularly a little over a thousand!

...the tiara is one I just purchased off of ebay!! It was $17 including shipping! ...not sure if I totally like it tho. But if I end up not wearing it, it's not like I broke the bank buying it.

Korey and I went on a trip to Dominican Republic in 2006. He insisted on going on an excursion to 'Paradise Island' to go snorkelling. So, that's what we did. While we were under water swimming around this huge reef, I felt him nudge me. I looked at him and he pointed to his pinky finger...and there it was! The most beautiful ring I had ever laid eyes on. After nearly drowning we went to the top and that's when he asked me. He truly surprised me. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal! I love him so much.
