Wedding Flowers
Real or silk? how to decide
So a lot of Girls are wondering which way to go Lets beark it down to decide;
Real, Of course are beautiful...... but can be costly, esp. if you want specialty flowers or out of season. I saw a beautiful bouquet on line and went out to find it, The lowest quote I got was $350.00 WOW that was almost my whole flower budget! They wilt, some faster than others, so will they make it through your day? and look great from start to finish? Pollen: some flowers such as Star Gazer Lilies shead yellow pollen, whitch some brides may not know, a florest will take out the Bits that do shed but DIY brides may not know to do this and it can leave an ugly yellow stain on your gown. Alergies: what if you or some of your girls are allergic? you dont want to be sneezing or worse red eyes and nose for your pictures Time crunch: If you are DIY ing your flowers, who has that kind of time a day or even 2 the day of your wedding! because of a snafo in my first wedding, I ended up haveing to run around, find,alter flowers for the church the day before... No problem there but time, because of the BYward Market Down town... But it ment spending more then an hour I didnt have the morning of my wedding arranging them for the church, then finding someone to deliver them and set up.... too much hassle! O.K. Lets look at silk..... I read a post the other day that a brides friend or family member thought silk was Tackie..... Hold on there these are NOT your grandmothers plastic flowers!!!! Most silks are beautiful! I even go to Dollar store to buy flowers when I have a new idea for my arrangments.... for mock ups, you can buy way ahead of time... you can DIY try take apart and retry untill you get the look you like, You can have ANY flowers any color, any size.. even some you may never have thought of, for a resonable price. You would have your flowers forever without the crazy prices some companies have to preserve them. Unless you choose unusual colors, or someone actualy touches them most ppl wouldn't even know they werent real I posted just some of my flowers... sorry for some of the pics being dark. |

Cost cutting Ideas
Since takeing the course, and being realy clever with DIYing here are a few cost cutting Idea's
Ask your church if there are other weddings on your day, contact that bride and suggest you share costs of decorations if the colors are similar. If you plan to use a convertable as your going away car.... fill the back seat(if your Groom is driving of course) with flowers from the church it will look like a rolling vase. Can't afford a limo,.... Rent a high end car for the weekend, ask a friend to be the Driver. We are renting London cabs instead of limo's which is $99 .oo instead of more then $1000.00 Price of Wedding cakes too high?.... Buy a nice cake stand for a round cake in pictures, and a slab cake enough for your guests Want live music at the church, or dinner, go to local High school music department, offer to make a donation to the school, for a couple of there best Students, to play Check out Flea Markets, most creative people who want to start s side line business rent a table at a local fixed markets. |

How to cover a tattoo with makeup
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEsVgIVp1_M
I looked on line and on You tube and this is the easiest way to cover up on our big day Question? How many of you will Or will not cover your Tattoos? O.K. went to a Hudson Bay store in town, They no longer sell the cover up... but for anyone who knows the Vichic Line, look for Drema blend, its what they use for burn vics. So good luck with cover up |

Inspiration Board
The cost of a wedding broken down
I took a course to become a wedding planner and Loved it,
This caught my eye and I thought I would pass it along;;;;;;;;; Breaking it down over the life of a marriage $10,000 divided by 50 yrs ==$200.00 a year $200.00 divided by 12 months== $16.00 a month $16.00 divided by 30 days == 53 cents a day!!!!!! Now isn't that worth 53 cents a day for a lifetime of Memories? ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW |

Ask a Question
Cost of a wedding today
I was reading a local free paper today, and saw a small footnote saying the average cost of a canadian wedding today is $19.274.....
What they Didnt say was how many ppl etc they based it on, Just for point of referance, I had a wedding for 125 ppl, Hot and cold Buffet meal, In 1984 total cost in the end was $4,000.00 so Im curious as to what every ones budget is for thier wedding? are you on target? over or under? |
