Wedding Reception
still ... searching ... (addition!!!)

So I have decided to add to my post from the kind comments below (everyone is soooo friendly here! I love it!!!)

We are still searching for the perfect venue to hold our ceremony and reception. We are finding it so difficult - even more so because it has to be suited for our pictures.

My soon to be hubby and I would LOVE a place that would accomodate approx. 90-120 people. We don't want a place that holds more people than that just because we don't want our wedding looking too small. We would love a golf course or an old house, but what we've seen so far has been out of our price range. Our range would be $100-$135 per person.

We would love to be the only wedding onsite and it would need to have an indoor backup for a ceremony incase it rained.

A couple words we have been using to describe our dream venue would be:

- intimate
- elegant
- glamorous

We love personal touches and will probably do a lot to the venue to make the day very personal.

Hey there:) I'm from Oakville too (we're getting married elsewhere but we did do some research around here first!)....

GreyStone golf course: Milton, about $105 per plate you can get married outside on hole 18 by a little creek or something (my FSIL is getting married there) http://en.clublink.ca/golf/golfcourse/overview.cfm?GOLF_COURSE_ID=0050

The Old Mill: Ancaster: I forget the cost but I think it was about $100 a plate...http://www.ancasteroldmill.com (it's uber nice but the smaller room seemed a little tight), might be worth checking out though. (you can get married outdoors or inside)

Royal Botanical gardens: I believe it's catered by 'The pepperwood restaurant, so it would be more buffet style, we wanted a sit down dinner which was why this was a no..

Check out weddingmapper.com and mycanadianwedding.com as well:)
Good luck!

Good luck! We found a lovely golf club to hold our reception at and it's running us about $5,000 (but that includes a caterer and bunch of extras too). :)
