Save the Date

This is the save the date we chose. Why???

1. our colors have gold in them lol

2. our theme is kind of VIPish ... we thought, well hey! everyone that will be invited will be Very Important People so wy not make it a VIP theme?

But how do you actually have a VIP theme? lol

3. It's kind of like the "ticket" to get in to the VIP party

4. It's a magnet

Did you girls think any of those things I listed when you saw it?? Probably not. Oh well, it's still cute and simple to make.

popcorn bar

Wedding Reception

Popcorn Bar

We actually were planning to do a candy buffet... then we saw the idea of a popcorn bar and said "WOW THAT'S DIFFERENT" Just seems like so many people are doing and have done the candy buffet (which is very nice) but I've never heard of a popcorn bar. lol.

Not sure if we will actually do it.. but thought I'd share the idea and see what you girls thought.

Seating Chart Poster

b/c I'm too lazy to make cards

I am making a seating chart poster to direct guests to their tables... instead of using escort cards, I will set up the chart on a stand outside the reception room. The cards just seem like too much work for me and making a simple poster seems so much easier. I hope it works out!!

Is anyone else doing assigned seating?

Flip Flop Bucket?

These flip flops (matching our wedding colors) would be placed out during the dancing portion of the reception.

Is anyone else considering doing a flip flop bucket? Or is it a waste of time and money?

OUR VENUE

We are having our wedding and reception in the same location. This beautiful historic mansion has a back patio and garden area where our ceremony will be held... and inside we will have our reception in the atrium. awesomeness!!!

Wedding Invitation

Finally decided....drum roll.............

SCROLLS! These are so nice and flashy like we like. We didn't want to do a tradition paper invitation so we are ordering these cloth material scrolls. 100% more than what I ever imagined!. These are pics of the samples we ordered.

My invitations were originally supposed to be DIY, but I changed my mind because clearly I can't make anything as neat as this.
