This is carolina9781's Blue Wedding!

Mike and I flew to Virginia to visit his parents for the holidays.... on Dec 27th we went ice skating with his best friend Bryon, Scott, and Amabel (Scotts wife) ... they all knew about it except me ... so we were ice skating(http://www.shopmacarthur.com/scc/7582.html ) towards 5pm EST the rink was going to close... all of a sudden he fell (on purpose) and I told him to "get up" told him again "baby get up" he somehow sled a little closer to me ... got something out of his pocket... at this point I still didnt know what he was doing so I told him again "Baby, get up" and he said "wait...." opened the box and said "Will you marry me?" I got closer to him because I wasn't sure what he was talking about... and saw the inside of the box and looked at him ... I was in shock still.... and smiled at him... and hugged him and kissed him.... then he said "Take off your gloves... I hope it fits" IT FIT!

Of course I said "YES!" .... after that his parents and friends had prepared an engagement dinner at a restaurant called
"Bodega" - its a spanish restaurant that is known for its wine and tapas... we walked in the restaurant and Mom and Dad were waiting there for us to arrive.... we had a bottle of champagne ... lots of tapas... good food and a great time.

After that.... the celebration didn't end. His parents had a party at the house... invited their friends and neighbors and we were up all night talking and getting to know his parents friends and neighbors.

As you can see - Mike is full of surprises - I couldn't think of another way to make this more special. He added a personal touch and by that I mean... he doesnt like ice skating (the times I've wanted to go I've had to beg him)
I'm super excited ... I can't stop thinking and wondering if this is true ... I'm happy and very content.
