Invitation Dilemma
My dilemma is that as I am looking for invitations all of the ones that I love are SOOOOO expensive and I just can't justify to myself spending that much money on something that is going to hang on someone's fridge until the wedding day. I would love to just take that money and spending it on my reception and make it even more fabulous than I already plan on it being =) I have no problem making them myself however, I don't want them to look "homey." I've searched the internet for the past 3 days and cannot find a single DIY kit that I like. I would love to make a pocket invitation or at least a sleeve but I'm not sure how to make this. I would hate to have an invitation that didn't match my wedding day.
That being said, does anyone have and suggestions on making invitations? Is there an easy way to make a pocket/sleeve invitation or is it just better to leave it simple? Also, if you do a pocket or sleeve what do you do with the addressed envelope inside? Do you address it and put the "invitation packet" inside? I feel like that's getting to be a lot of stuff inside. I'm posting a picture of the invite we would LOVE to have and modify it a little bit if there is a way to make a pocket/sleeve. |

Candy Bar
We're going to do a candy bar for our favor. I've seen this done and I love it and I'm SO excited about this.
Our colors are garnet, black, and white. We're expecting anywhere from 200-300 guests. We also have a wholesalers license. Has anyone done a candy bar or can anyone offer advice on the following things: -how much candy to buy -where to buy the candy at a reasonable price -where to find a wide variety of candy/colors -personalized candy options -candy that will satisfy both the older and younger folks -cute candy scoops We know we've got a while but we're really trying to scope everything out early and go get it when the time is right =) |
