Pink & Damask Finds!

Yeterday I completed my weekly shopping trip to Hobby Lobby & man was I successful!

Hot Pink Damask Pillars: So I found these last weekend with one of my BM & I've been waiting until the candles were 50% to purchase. I bought several styles of these to place inside my black birdcages. I've got about 8 various birdcages so far for the centerpieces and I haven't spent more than $10 on any of them! The 3x6 candles were $11.99 but I got them for 50% off.

I also bought my white pillar candles to line the aisle with at the church. I plan to alternate with 3x9 and 3x6 candles so hopefully it will look right. With the 50% sale, even Wal-Mart couldn't beat these prices!

They're having another Bridal Event (50% off) this week so I bought 4 large boxes of hot pnk rose petals and their white birdcage. It's meant to be used for cards, but I'm going to spray paint it black & use it for one of my centerpieces.

Wilton Sparkling Ice: This is probably my favorite deal. The Wal-Marts in my area are discounting almost all of their bridal supplies. A friend who works there said that a lot of the bridal stuff of the shelves is old & discountinued so they need to move it quickly. I found these awesome boxes of pink sparkling ice for $5. I just love the shades of pink & the pieces are much larger than the stuff I orderd on Ebay. I've got 8 boxes so far!

While at Hobby Lobby I also bought all of the ribbon for the vase/pomander centerpieces. I'm doing a damask ribbon ontop of a wider black ribbon. I was afraid to do pink since I don't have the ball yet & I couldn't match the color. For the monogram I found these white round fabric buttons with a W in black. It looks good with the ribbon but I'll have to see how it looks on the actual vase. As soon as my pomander ball arrives (hopefully this week) I'll be creating my first mock-up. Can't wait to post it!
