I just finished my first DIY wedding project! These were super easy & quick to make. I ordered the velum envelopes from Ebay, $10 for 100 enveloples. I bought 10 packets of the monogram tissues from Hobby Lobby, 50 cents a pack. My future sister-in-law gave me the skinny black ribbon (isn't she awesome). I designed & printed the labels myself.

Sorry the photo quality isn't so great - I couldn't get my camera to focus on the wording. It says "Tears of Joy, Tears of Laughter, Tears of Happily Ever After."

All I had to do was stick 1 tissue in each envelope, wrap the ribbon around once, and secure it with the sticker. Tada!

They're a bit simple compared to some of the packets I've seen. For the wedding I'm going to stash them in a cute Damask-lined basket with perhaps a sign.

Very cute! You should also leave a few on each pew. Some people plan to be hard and hold back the tears but the river works will flow! I have a damask lined basket I am willing to sell if you are interested. Also, do you have damask napkins yet? If not, check my blog!

I made these but I was really unsatisfied with the stickers I got on beau-coup.com. I was thinking about using address labels to make the stickers! You did a really great job on these, I love them! and I like the damask printed tissues.

These are absolutely gorgeous! I had the idea of buying just the tissue packets & letting my guest pass them around, but this is a much better idea. What are the measurements of the velum envelopes that you used? Ebay has so many different sizes & I'm unsure as to which ones to order. & also my FH last name is Welch, so we will also be using the monogramed "W"!!! I'm really excited about getting started on these! It will be my 1st DIY project!

I ordered by envelopes from Ebay. The item information is "#3 Glassine Envelope (2-1/2 x 4-1/4)" and I purchased a set of 100 for about $5.
