Favors - Can't decide please help

Originally I was thinking of making Carmel apples for the favors, but to be honest I don't know if I will want to since I will have to make them so close to the wedding. ?? Then I was thinking of individual Smores with a marshmallow, 2 graham crackers and a small hersheys bar or ordering gift trees from the arbor day foundation. ??? What of these sounds the best? I want it to be something different that goes with the whole earthy/fall feel. ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!! :)
Thanks girls!!

Just a thought about the caramel apples - On my page I have a post about a $5,000 Halloween wedding.  That bride bought caramel apples at Sam's Club and then re-packaged them herself in clear cellophane bags.  It would still be a lot of work but it would be easier than making them AND packaging them.

I like edible favors the most so I like the caramel apple or the s'mores idea.

Just some other ideas that I have:

Mini bags of tea with a cinnamon stick tied to the bag
You could give everyone assorted tea bags
Cider mix with a cinnamon stick
Small cider mix recipe book
Hot cocoa mix in a mug or bag
Chocolate dipped apple slices
Assorted flavored popcorn
Chocolate drizzled popcorn balls

I like the gift tree idea too though.  I know, I'm no help!  LOL

Maybe you could give out seeds instead of the gift trees?  Just because the gift trees sound like they could be pricey.  :)

lol thats awesome. The gift trees were not to expensive. They are very small seedlings though but they come with a cute note wrapped around it. Maybe i'll just have to look around at prices. I was looking at places that made carmel apples but they were like $12. an apple!? Way to much. I was thinking of doing the trees for my shower and then the apples for the wedding, so maybe I"ll just stick to that if I find somewhere that sells them at a decent price

I was originally going to do "pie in a jar" favors but like you, don't want to worry about making something before the wedding! I am just doing personalized matchbooks with 3 sparklers per person for me and my FH's send off. It's something fun for the guests plus they get to keep the matchbook! Chances are if you do the s'more thing people won't make a s'more out of it...just a thought. ;-)

Something different from all of those - buy tiny pots and plant flowers in them... have all your BM's over one day and plant the flowers. If you are able to water them, you should be able to plant them 1 month before the wedding.

Thank you all! I loved the planted flowers & cider mix idea! I think we are going to just keep the trees for the shower and if they can't plant a tree where they live, they can donate to the park we will be at for it. lol. And do the smores for the wedding. I know no one is going to go home and say hey lets build a bombfire to make our smore but... at least most people will eat the chocolate. :) Who knows though, this may change yet again before then seeing as I have till the end of the month to decide lol.
Again, thank you!

I like all the ideas, I like michelle11's cider mix with cinnamon stick! I am getting married November 19th and my plan was to make homemade spiced chai mix and put them in plastic bags with ribbon and tied on a little note. However, I'm liking that cider mix idea!
