Hello angels!
tis been a long time..
wow! So its just been 10 months since our wedding, I thought i pop in and say hello! I nearly forgot my account password!
Hope everyone is doing well! Hubs and I are doing well and still loving married life. There are moments when its a struggle but we have no regrets. We just have to remember to communicate communicate and communicate! My last update was that we were about to build. Well today we actually started building!We have purchased a medium sized block in a new little neighbourhood and quite excited. I am in the process of choosing paint colours! who knew that could be so hard! I have been a bridesmaid in 3 weddings this year and will have a 4th wedding coming up. It seems to be the season! so that has been tiding my creativity for a little bit. I can see the setting up our family home will become the next priority for a little while Also i am lovng the new trends that are coming along in wedding planning! How has everyone else been? please update! I would love to hear what everyone is doing! xxx Charis . |

Monogram for Mr
So I havent been doing monograms lately but Im getting back into the swing of things again and logging back on to the site.
For awhile there I didnt even log on, what once was a daily habit turned into something of weeks and weeks of vacation away. I almost forgot my password! Anyway Brittany asked if I would do a monogram for her so I obliged.. Hope you like! Her colors were turquoise and brown and I think her wedding suited something simple and elegant. I printed it out on silver paper and it looks fab! My camera is broken so hence no pics but I kinda cant wait to see it on some of her projects or where she will use it! |

Friends wedding decor- I swoon!
Heya!
its nearly been a week since I posted.. I think from now on my posts might be getting less and less :( However I went to my friends wedding on the wedding... well ladies.. it was just fabulous! The bride loves flowers so this was a big part of her budget and very much a focal point. She bought flowers from a wholesaler and her aunties assembled them a few days of the wedding, well ladies they were jaw dropping fabulous. So just a Few details about the wedding Garden marquee reception set in the parents back yard.. (just beautiful) No chair covers, just plain white chairs. This proves that sometimes chair covers arent necessary.. it looked great without! For seating arrangements they just had a seating chart and it allocated you a table. When you arrived at the table the placecards were not at particular spots so you could choose your seat on the table. I think this would have saved allocation time and alot of hassle. For favors they just had wrapped up chocolates scattered on the table and you just helped yourself along the night also added a bit of color to the table! The floral arrangements were surrounded by 5 tea light candles.. Simple and very affective. On the head table they had floral arrangements but inbetween they just had a clear vase filled with water.. when the BMs all sat down they just put there flowers in the clear vase infront of them and it added to the visual affect. The cake was made by one of the bridesmaids.. simple but elegent. Lovely wedding! I wont post pictures of the bride and groom as to protect there privacy but I thought you girls wouldnt mind seeing some arrangements! Anyway just thought Id share!c |

cause im cool like that on our rehearsal dinner
Warning: This post is a not my usual cup of tea Im usually all about positivity but Im giving an honest recap. So you are warned.
So I would have to say out of the whole wedding week, I thought the rehearsal dinner would be serious awseomeness.. well it wasnt :( We had planned on a casual bbq but my mum doesnt tend to do casual.. shes all for hospitality and did a sit down menu - the night before our wedding! thats right, hosted 22 people in our house for a full sit down meal. She is a fabulous lady and did this with no fuss.. I didnt even know what she was doing till I rocked up an hour before hand to help set up. I was pleasantly suprised and I appreciate the effort she went to. Unfortunately some of our bridal party, the best man and groomsmen had a friend pass away that week and the day of the rehearsal dinner, 2 of them went to a funeral and then proceeded to have a 'few drinks' after the funeral. They had a few too many and well they texted hubs to go down to the pub for a few. Hubs said 'look I cant... you guys are supposed to be here anyway'... They replied ' for what?' Hubs: 'The rehersal dinner??? ' Them: oh yeah.. can you come pick us up? by this stage is 6.25pm people have started to arrive including my grandparents so Hubs is quite hurt by this that they have forgotten and has gone to pick them up. They are blind. drunk. I got a phonecall from hubs at 6.50pm saying he was on his way back and that he had them with them and they got told to sober up. So we are running 20 minutes late for our rehearsal start time (which I guess is nots so bad) but by then I was quite stressed and wanting to give them a piece of my mind. Which is something I wouldnt usually do. Anyway It just set the mood of the night, something meant to be fun wasnt it turned into something stressful. I would say the rehearsal dinner was more stressful than the actual wedding day in hindsight. Well the boys were quite merry and were acting quite silly. By this stage everyone one of our guests knew what had happened. Hubs isnt talking to them because hes fuming on the inside and was even going to the extreme of kicking them out of the bridal party. Didnt even want them to be at the wedding! We had a quick convo but agreed it was just best not to say anything. My bestie Aimee tho who was one of bridesmaids did have a word them about it and warned them repeatedly to behave. Honestly like kids. The rehearsal itself went ok, but apparently on the day the Best Man had to ask one of the groomsmen that was sober were he had to stand and what he had to do cause he couldnt remember. Also one of my bridesmaids didnt show up until 8pm. I have yet to figure out what the reason was for her to rocking up that late. Anyway, dinner was served... mum did a fabulous job and the night continued from there. Dont get me wrong the night was good but I was just seriously tense the whole night through and felt ready to ring someones neck and didnt actually enjoy the night as well as I couldve. Ah well. attached is the beautiful set up in mum and dads house and then also another picture midway through the evening. Kudos to my mum who cooked 22 entrees 22 mains and made the deserts. all. from. scratch. isnt she a gem! |

So I finished my thank you cards today so they are all ready for the post.. I also included a photo of the two of us. I originally just had my cards but it just seemed too plain. So including the photo was a nice touch.
I never knew how much work saying thank you could be!! Its taken me 3 weeks of procrastination but looking forward to them being out the door tomorrow! :D |

So... I had a student friend photographer do our getting ready shots and reception and while Im trying so harddddddd to be patient......and be cruisy about her sending them through. I still havent recieved anything!
I just want my photos, so I can finish my album and finish putting the photo dvd together. So im just venting a little.. Im sure shes on to it and she will send them through but I just dont want to be a nag. Its been just over a month! *sigh* Anyone experienced a long wait for something and your dying to get it? |
