Wedding Decoration
Should I be being so picky?

Had a rough day yesterday!

The wedding is coming up so fast and there are so many details that still need to be taken care of.

I have hired someone to do most of my decor for me. With 2 kids and practically all my guests coming from out of town I really wanted to cut down on my work load a little so I can enjoy the day more. But this has not cut down my stress!

I have been trying to see a final mock up of my centerpieces for some time now. She didn't seem to eager to meet. So after sending her several emails she finally sent me pictures. But still says she may change a few things... so I guess it's not a final mock up?

A few issues...

The flowers look pink to me. Am I being a little too picky? My wedding colors are lavender and white. They dont even match the candles. Which I am not sure about either... would white be better?

I am not sure about the mirror. My FH says nobody will probably even notice it and when the lights go down it will reflect the candle light.
He is probably right.

I like the glass garland but don't like the purple strand of beads that is woven through.

Let me know what you think. Should I be asking her to find new flowers so close to the wedding? Am I expecting too much?

I just figure that my wedding is only going to happen once and I want things to be perfect. I have been so stressed about this :-(

Why don't you tell her to just use white flowers and avoid any pink? With the lavender candles, it will still look nice. I don't mind the pink, but you're right, you need to be happy with what you're seeing! Maybe she put the pink flowers to match the pink votives she has around? i think you're entitled to ask her to just stick to your two wedding colours though and eliminate the pink. Just say it nicely lol.

Also, agree with your FH on the mirrow although I have never been a huge fan myself, but he's right, it will reflect the candles and look very nice. Also agree with you on the beads.

agree with tashasita...use all white flowers, and then the purple candles, take away the purple strand.

Your not being to picky. That is why she should have responded to you before so it could have been worked out. Can't believe she will be paid for her time. If you had more time I would say cancel her and DIY. I agree with the color of the flowers. If your not having pink anywhere and didn't request them to be pink then why are they?  As for the candles I'am kinda really liking them I thought that I would like white better. Can you make a mock up your self and play around with the items? I agree with you about the purple strand. And the mirror will probably add an extra touch when the candles are lit.
Best of luck. Try talking on the phone with her about your questions and concerns.
