Reception
fun fun fun
I really, really want to have a fun reception. The problem is, I don't really want dancing. What I would love to have is like a moon bounce and inflatable slides and stuff, but that might be just too out there for my family. I've also thought of carnival-style games... I just don't know! Any suggestions??

Very cute idea!  I actually was just looking at a carnival themed dessert buffet on martha stewart's site last night.  It was a cute yellow & white awning & table set up...she had funnel cakes, & I think candy apples, maybe flavored popcorn in the little red & white boxes you can get at the dollar store.. & ummmmm, I'm drawing a blank.  Check it out if you have a chance.  As for games, I love your selection.  For those not into sliding & bouncing, maybe you could have one of those cutouts where you stick your face through for photos (nice keepsakes), maybe a ball toss type game, etc...hope this helps-

Moon bounces are SOOOOO much fun for adults too! You and your new hubby could have the first bounce! Haha, I love it :)

While I personally find moon bounce houses a lot of fun...you need to make sure your guests will enjoy it. :-) Otherwise, it could spell disaster.

I'm going to have a moonbounce for my birthday in a few weeks ;)
I say go for your personality and your style.  I would assume the people you know and love are mostly all tons of fun too and would enjoy something out of the ordinary.  It will give them something to talk about for a long time to come.
