I have been talking about doing my own cake, and now Im starting to get really excited about it! The pictures on the side are cakes that I have done. I just started a little under a year ago.

Im thinking about doing a few wedding practice cakes in the next few weeks. Im a little unsure about something though. Do you put your main color on your cake??

Oh yes! You are definitely talented and I know without a doubt that your wedding cake will be beautiful! I'm still amazed! Wow!... As far as wedding cake colors, I think you choose whatever color you like. It does not have to be the main color or any color at all. It all depends on what you like.

if you are using your main color a lot at the reception, i would only put it in small doses & not the main color of the cake.
great job decorating though, they all look great! haha actually thought that the pb&j was a sandwich!!

dang girl you are amazing!!! That pb&j looked like a straight up sandwich! I know for my cake I am doing white with a black pattern and then lime green flowers. I think it is good to use your main color ties the whole theme together.

I LOVE the turkey! That's so awesome...right down to the veggies in the pan!

awsome cakes! i LOVE the turkey hahahahaha. Usually the main color is incorporated....but thats not to say just cuz im wedding is black and red i want a cake all black and red.... just small accents of it that tie into my colors and theme. Awesome tho!

I think that I will do a simple white or ivory cake and maybe put a red ribbon around it to throw my color in there!

you can do anything you want!! and i meant to send you a message about these pics when you sent me your blog site, they look awesome!! im so impressed. im getting really excide too, i bought the cake pans yesterday. we are signing up for some classes so i can get some decorating under my belt. im thinking about doing a white base with colored piping. but im not 100% on it.

Michaels is great for all kind of cake realted stuff! There are also great stencils you can order online as well!
