DIY Food Update
Drinks!
We'll also be providing our own drinks. When it comes to alcohol we'll have two wine options, a champaign for the toast, and possibly two or three beer selections.
We'll be getting our wine at a discount from a local winery. Not only is the locall wine inexpensive and different, it'll also be a novelty for our guests. Lakeridge Winery is located in Clermont, FL. It uses the local muscadine grape, which has a much sweeter taste than other well-known wine varieties. Southern Red: Ruby hue, berry flavors, light-bodied; sweet rich berry nose reminiscent of the grape. Made from the Noble, a variety of red Muscadine. 5.0% residual sugar; a unique wine rich in Southern tradition. (source:lakeridgewinery.com) Food matches: Pasta & red sauce, Barbecue, Pizza, Game Sunblush: Rich in aroma and fruit flavor, this light, crisp and refreshing wine embodies the radiant hue of a Florida sunset; a blend of different muscadine grapes done in a blush style. 2.5% residual sugar. Food matches: Ham, Finger foods. Similar wines: White Zinfandel, Rosé. (source:lakeridgewinery.com) Cresendo: A festive, delicate Florida Sparkling Wine produced by the traditional French method, Methode Champenoise, but using native American grapes. Rare product made by only one other producer in the U. S. The Pink version of this sparkler is only slightly sweeter. Food matches: Fresh fruit, Chocolate anything, Other desserts. Similar wines: Asti Spumante. (source: lakeridgewinery.com) Beer: undecided at this time. Non-Alcoholic: Of course, we need to offer something for those who don't plan to get boozed at our wedding. The plan is to offer three types of non-alcoholic drinks: lemonade, sweet tea, and punch. And we will not forget plenty of bottles of water! |

Wedding Invitation
Purchased!!
I'm not a very crafty person, which is why I decided to purchase these invitations and RSVP cards from Michaels. I'll type the invitations up myself and print them on a laser printer. It's important to use laser and not ink jet, because the ink can smudge.

Reception Inspirations
Ideas.
These are just some ideas. Of course, my colors are royal blue & yellow. So, anything here that isn't my color will need to be done in my color. (duh?)

Wedding Website
Designed!
We created a wedding website for our guests from scratch. First, we chose a domain name from godaddy.com. Then, Kevin created the design in Adobe Photoshop, saved his images, and created it in HTML. We have a friend who does website hosting, so we're updating our site through him.
Here's a sneak peak at our finished home page: |

Monogram
DIY
We made our monogram in Adobe Illustrator. It's easy: just pick your font and play with the letters until they look the way you want. The best part about Illustrator is that you can save your images as an .ai file...which means you can print it to practically any size without being stretched or pixellated.

Wedding Photography
Engagement Photos
We did our e-pics at sunrise on Ponce Inlet Monday morning. They were set for Sunday evening, but our photographer got a flat tire on the way to the location!
Fortunately, she was great and rescheduled for early Monday before we left on vacation (which we're on now). It feels like everything went smoothly during the shoot. The poses felt a little awkward, but I assume that's normal since I'm used to being on the other side of the lens. I'll post pictures as soon as they come in. |
