DIY Food Update
Drinks!
We'll also be providing our own drinks. When it comes to alcohol we'll have two wine options, a champaign for the toast, and possibly two or three beer selections.
We'll be getting our wine at a discount from a local winery. Not only is the locall wine inexpensive and different, it'll also be a novelty for our guests. Lakeridge Winery is located in Clermont, FL. It uses the local muscadine grape, which has a much sweeter taste than other well-known wine varieties. Southern Red: Ruby hue, berry flavors, light-bodied; sweet rich berry nose reminiscent of the grape. Made from the Noble, a variety of red Muscadine. 5.0% residual sugar; a unique wine rich in Southern tradition. Rare product made by only one other producer in the U. S. The Pink version of this sparkler is only slightly sweeter. Food matches: Fresh fruit, Chocolate anything, Other desserts. Similar wines: Asti Spumante. (source: lakeridgewinery.com) Beer: undecided at this time. Non-Alcoholic: Of course, we need to offer something for those who don't plan to get boozed at our wedding. The plan is to offer three types of non-alcoholic drinks: lemonade, sweet tea, and punch. And we will not forget plenty of bottles of water! |
