Ask a Question
DIYers..I need your help!
I want some pretty draping across the chairs during the ceremony, at the cake and food tables, and maybe in a few other places as well.

What the crap do I use? I see so many different types of fabric.
-tulle
- Gossamer
- Taffeta
- Shimmera

Which fabrics work best for draping? What's the difference between the types of fabrics.

(I know..I stole water marked photos...but it's all i could find.)

I think organza and tulle are the cheapest. You can go to any fabric store (or maybe craft store) and they'll help you. The organza we're using is around $2/metre, so very cheap.

Tulle is also the softest I believe. Taffeta is more stiff.

DON'T use gossamer... it's like paper, and it's horrible.  Tulle is great, as is organza..... on the pricier side, silk, or even synthetis, is a really good chic look.
