Well ladies, it's about time for me to take that plunge and become what we are all here for. We board our plane for Vegas this afternoon and I don't know if it's anxiety or morning sickness but I'm so sick. Whew, coca cola to the rescue.

Anyway, you ladies will not see the last of me as I still have my formal reception to plan for Thanksgiving weekend.

Hi Ladies!!!

I've had so much going on since my last post. I've been trying to prepare myself for my big day and got some unexpected news.......We are expecting!!!!! I am about 7-8 weeks and this has totally caught me off guard. Not that I'm not excited don't get me wrong but I cried for a couple of days. I guess the saying is defintely "things don't always happen when you want them to, but if it's meant to happen it will." I always planned to wait until my son starts kindergarten or either 1st grade before I had another one, but at least he'll be three and the baby is expected to arrive the day before his 3rd birthday. :-l

Anyway, I'm down to the single digits today. 9 left to go and needless to say I wish I had 90. There is still so much to do because I'm such a procrastinator (not ashamed to say it). But I picked up my beautiful gown today and I'm so excited because I can still wear it. With the baby news I've been craving and just pigging out (could be stress), but I was terrified that my gown would not fit. When I arrived to DB today, I broke out in sweats but calmed down and got in my beautiful gown. I picked up a birdcage hair piece in the store and also purchased my bracelet and earrings from the mall. So today was very productive.

This past weekend, I had a bridal shower and it was so much fun. My BF planned it around Vegas since no one will be going with FH and I so she decided to bring Vegas to Raleigh and it was so much fun!!!! I really enjoyed myself.

I'll post pics soon, just wanted to stop in and say hi as I've missed you ladies and I have so much to get caught up on. I've missed quite a few weddings.

Where can I find these for a reasonable price or is this something that I can try and DIY? I want to use these for my cd favors.

Wow last night. I woke up and it hit me that I now have 60 days left before I jump the broom.

Time is just ticking away so fast. I still ned to purchase our plane tickets for Vegas, finish paying for my dress, and the remainder of the ceremony. Whew!!! So much to do with so little time........

After that, it's part 2 for the formal reception on 11-27-10.....

Uggghhhh, what a week. I just refreshed the page due to my pictures loading slow and lost the entire (essay) post that I typed.......

This has been a hell of a week for me. 1st I fell on Wednesday (in the house) at that. I completely just fell on my knees on the carpet. I have the nastiest carpet burn and my knee is swollen. FH has been cracking jokes like crazy about it and pissing me off. Granted I've had problems with my knees for years due to a car accident but I never imagined them just giving out on me. Anyway, I'm ok just limping a little and sore.

So today I had the day off due to a free day from work for a job well done (Yay)!!! I wanted to get to work on some of the things stacked up in my closet taking up all of my space.

Bubbles-printed some label tags that I had with the monogram that MrsHToBe made for me. I also added a little poem on the back of the monogram label "Blow Bubbles of Good Wishes for the New Mr & Mrs". I cut the tags with some scalloped scissors that I found in the clearance aisle at Walmart for $1. Tied them with a purple ribbon and voila....I still have about 50 more to go. Ran out of purple ribbon.

Cardbox-Purchased from Oriental Trading, sprayed it with Robins Egg paint from Michaels and added purple ribbon to each base of the tiers. Not finished with this one. I still need to add something else to it.

Pomander/Flowerballs-Purchased 15 purple and 15 blue flower stems from Michaels for $1.19 each and two styrofoam balls to see how much it would take. It's probably going to take about 20 flowers for each ball. Yikes, that brings me over budget for this project but I'll think of something. I toyed with the purple ball, blue ball, and then the purple and blue flower ball. Which do you think looks the best? Oh and please disregard the vase. :-)

Bathroom Baskets-Purchased from Michaels about 2-3 weeks ago for about $6 and sprayed them purple and blue. Not sure about the lining in them.

Ok, I think I have everything now after re-typing this for the 2nd time.

I am such a cry baby when it comes to weddings. I cry at almost every wedding. I was just watching last week's episode of Bethenny Getting Married where it was the actual wedding and I cried. I wouldn't even watch this show at all because she annoys me but there is nothing else on at the moment so I decided to give it a try and I bawled my butt off. Ugly face and all :-( LOL

Even when I look at the bride's pictures here of their special day, I get emotional. Partly because I feel like I know you ladies because we share so much in common and so many ideas and thoughts together. Every bride on here that's already married and that I've seen has had an amazing and beautiful day and I hope that my day is beautiful just like my WBC sisters.

What templates or programs are good for creating Monograms? I have tried to create one in PowerPoint, but it has never been my specialty.

Update..........Shout out to MrsHToBe who jumped right in and made a monogram for me within 5-10 mins. Ladies, if you need help please reach out to her! She's quick and she does an amazing job.

So the search is on for "reasonable" (cheap) linens for the reception. Does it anyone know a great site to purchase the linens?

What was your experience with them and how long did it take for you to receive them?

My stess level has now dropped from a whopping 150 to possibly 65. I finally have my venue. After months of stressing, cursing, and waiting on individuals to return calls that they never made, i've found the one!!!!!

I meet with the owner next week to go over details and the contract. Now I can continue to plan my formal reception.

*Update*
Venue is even more gorgeous in person. I met with the owner last weekend and signed the contract. Can somebody say Hallelujah!!!!! My stress level has finally dropped even more. Now I can get to work on more planning and get to work on some of my projects. Thanks ladies for all of the very nice words of encouragement.
