Location? Ideas for rustic wedding in a non-rustic setting?
Well as it turns out the location I had my heart set on cannot accomodate all our guests and we would have to cut down our already trimmed guestlist, so FH and I decided we should look for a new venue. Booo! This is going to be tough finding a place that can provide everything that I want for a rustic wedding without going over budget! There is another potential spot at a hotel that borders a provincial park and they have deer coming up to the windows at the reception site all the time, that could work?! Waiting for information but keep your fingers crossed! Any ideas from you brides about adding certain rustic details to your reception decor to make it feel good without adding any corny stuff? I am having a March wedding...

After going to only one bridal boutique and trying on several dresses, I actually preferred the simplicity and elegance of this gown. It's a Demetrios Illusions gown, in ivory (more like gold). The flowers have been removed from the bust and I will be wearing them in my hair instead! I just love the way I feel in it and my mother cried when she saw me in it and my eyes just lit up! I'm soooo excited!!! Now, since my wedding is only in March of next year, I will need to preserve it so there is no yellowing...any ideas or tips? I think I need to buy a box with acid-free paper or something. Suggestions strongly wanted! Let me know what you think of the dress too....thanks!

Wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses according to season?
Okay people, I would like your help on this debate...If I am planning to have a March wedding, does that mean that my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses have to be winter-style as well? I like the length of cocktail dresses for my bridesmaids, but I don't hate the idea of full-length hems and I want a strapless wedding gown but what about doing pictures outside? Canada in March is still pretty cold and I have heard of people wearing faux-fur (my sister is vegan) coats or stoles so would this be a good option for me and my 3 bridesmaids?

awaiting date confirmation and location!?
Went to see a beautiful private location near Mont-Tremblant called Blueberry Lake Resort last month while we were up north for the holidays and went it for a look. It has 60 private log cabins that can have up to 10 people and even has its own private lake. We love this location! We are waiting to see how much it costs and if our date is available on March 12, 2011. This is exactly what I have been looking for a rustic wedding and very intimate! Perfect for around 85-90 people as planned. Keeping my fingers crossed that the date is available and they can work with our budget!
