Color Choices - Navy Blue
My color inspiration came from Orange Tulips. I love them! There will be bright orange tulips everywhere at my wedding.
I picked blue since it complements orange so well. When I started looking at shades of blue, I fell in love with the navy instantly. It seemed so regal and elegant. As I've gone through picking out flowers and 'stuff'... I've added silver and fushia pink to my color palette. When I tell people that my colors are Navy Blue, Orange, and Fushia pink they usually give me a weird look. Apparently it isn't traditional, but I'm really excited about it! |

Wedding Decoration
Quest for charger plates
I'm not sure where I got this crazy idea, but I REALLY wanted charger plates for my wedding. I really couldn't justify spending the $$ for renting them, and buying them was ridiculously expensive.
Then... (dramatic pause) I came across platinum charger plates on clearance at Big Lots. They were $3.00 for a 4-pack. I bought all they had in the store, and then proceeded to drive to every big lots in town (I think I ended up going to 9 stores!) on a quest to buy every platinum charger plate in Columbus OH :) Mission accomplished, I am now the proud owner of 184 charger plates. I'll be looking to sell them after my wedding (May 2010) if you're interested! |
