We got our wedding bands

We weren't really looking for wedding bands... just browsing the stores. Trying different styles... here and there, once in a while.

One night, I was telling my parents about rings my Fiancé and I really liked, when my Dad offered to give us his and my Mom's wedding bands. I was really flattered, but I didn't quite know what to say because I was afraid I wouldn't like the style. I had already asked my mom about using her ring, but had stopped thinking about it because the band is yellow gold and my engagement ring is white gold.

So I ended up trying the ring... and LOVED it!! It is the exact shape I was looking for. And I think that the colour difference between the band and my engagement ring looks really good. It's very different and unique!

On my wedding day, I will be getting the ring my Mom, my Grandmother, and my Great grandmother wore. It must be at least a hundred years old now! My Fiancé will be wearing the ring worn by both my Dad and Grandfather. He was very touched that my Dad gave him that ring.

My Dad said that these rings were never separated... We will have to keep up with this tradition!
