This is colewedding's Pink Wedding!

We went to American Commodore today and got the tuxes chosen and set up. I love them :) They're going to look great. We chose a gorgeous three-button Ralph Lauren tux. It will be black. The groomsmen will wear lime green vests and long ties with lime green pocket squares. Will will wear a white vest and tie. The dads will wear black vests and ties.

I think this was the easiest thing we've done for the wedding so far :) We got Will's tux for free and a discount for each guy because we ordered so many! Yay!

I would really like to provide a candy buffet with little take home bags/boxes to have as favors. I LOVE the way it looks and think it is fun and fits with the look/theme of my wedding. The only problem is I'm not sure if the reception location allows it...so I'll have to give them a call and find out :)

I will continue to update this post as I find more pictures (I lost a bunch when my hard drive crashed :( ). I really want to use limes in my centerpieces, the provide the color I want at a much lower cost than flowers ...and plus, they're just cool! I found this example of a centerpiece that I really love that has lemons and flowers and am hoping to recreate something similar (probably a little smaller).

I will also have table overlays...probably DIY. I haven't decided if I want them all to be hot pink or if I should have some pink, some green, and some orange. I will have white chair covers and probably a colored sash. I want to use the color tastefully so it's fun and bright without looking like a kid's birthday party, lol.

I found these beautiful invitations that are WAY out of my budget and will most likely try to create my own lower-cost, DIY version from these inspiration pictures.

I love how the colors are bright and beautiful, but the invites are still classy :)

I haven't quite figured out what I want my cake to look like. I absolutely adore the structure of the red one and would like to go for that provided it doesn't up the budget too much. If I can't go with that structure then I will have square layers, possibly offset.

I love the scrollwork look and obviously want lots of color seeing as how that's my theme :) I love the bunched fabric and I DO letter decorating the cake table. I also love the look of a different geometric design on each layer.

Oh, and there will be no flowers anywhere near my cake. I know, I'm weird.

I want to have my hair in a half-up do, just like these pictures of Carrie Underwood. She likes this style too, lol, these pictures are the same style at different events.

I will be wearing a tiara, but I will not be wearing a veil. I don't want to cover up my hair or the back of my dress and am getting married outside so the wind factor would be annoying with a veil.

Here's hoping my hair decided to hold curl that day :)

Our color theme is hot pink and lime green with a few orange accents here and there. Basically, tons of color! I absolutely love bright colors and think it will look great for an outdoor May wedding.

Flower wise I will be using hot pink roses and ranunculus, orange roses and ranunculus, and kermit mums. I will not have the hypericum berries that are in the pictures and it will be surrounded by rolled leaves instead of the ones in the picture :)

I have four wonderful bridesmaids and my awesome matron-of-honor :) All of my girls will be wearing this dress. I think it is beautiful.

These girls are amazing and wonderful friends :) They pretty much rock and I love them all!

We chose Linczak as our photographers and I am so excited to work with them! Their work is beautiful. I'm glad we are going to have a two-person photography team so we will get multiple angles and will not miss a thing!

I also plan on doing a trash the dress session with them after the wedding :)

We will be married at Springlake Party Center in Akron, Ohio on May 30, 2008. Springlake is great because we can hold both the ceremony and the reception there! We will be married at their gazebo on the lake, and it is absolutely beautiful :) I cannot wait!!! They also have a large reception hall and a great all-inclusive package :) This place is gorgeous!

We are aiming for about 150 people. We will have a beautiful appetizer spread followed by a buffet dinner (probably of baked chicken marsala, sausage and peppers, mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, and rolls) and wedding cake for dessert. There will be a full open bar.

Will and I went out to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, Olympia. It is the cutest family-owned Greek place and I love it because it has a very nice, fun and romantic atmosphere :)

We got to the restaurant and we were in the car waiting to go in, he stopped me from getting out and told me to wait. He asked right there! It was so incredibly sweet and I'm so glad it was just the two of us! We went to the restaurant and I was even more glad he asked before we got in because there were two very loud parties there that night, lol. We had a very nice dinner...we were smiley and giggly the whole time (at least I was, haha). It was perfect and wonderful, just like my fiance!
