200 Days to go!!!
Hey My Gals,
I just realized I am at 200 days! It is funny how I went from two months back to 200 days. I know I have a new wedding date set, but I got a little bumped when I also realized I would have been getting married next Saturday (4/4/2012). However, I am happy because I am loved and adored (his words) by a wonderful man, and getting married at a later date only allows us to get closer and more excited about becoming husband and wife. We never know what the what the future holds but I know who holds my future, YAY 200 DAYS TO GO!!! Happy Planning! |

new wedding date!
I am now an October Bride
Hello ladies,
We FINALLY came up with a new wedding date!!!...yay! We had to change our wedding date due to my FH's mother passing away. Our wedding date was April 14, 2012 and now it is October 26, 2012... We picked that date due to the fact that my photographer had no availability for the year ( believe me I tried), so we had to work around her schedule. Which was fine, but to come up with a date was more exhausting than plannning the wedding the first time. I just wanted to give a quick update..and I will be blogging again. So, thanks for the support and encouraging words I recieved from from my fellow brides to be. AND to all my April brides I will miss you!! and CONGRATULATIONS!!! |

I've been gone for a while
wedding changes
Helle All,
Long story short, I've been gone for a while and have not been able or wanted to post anything. My FH mother passed away in January and we decided to push the wedding back a few months to give him some time :( along with some other factors. However, we have not set a date yet and It's kind of hard because I want him to go through the grieving process and be able to enjoy our wedding. I have been secretly sad about it. I say secretly because I did not want FH to think I'm selfish or just all about the wedding. I am about getting married to him and us becoming husbad and wife that's why I just go with the flow. BUT I am sad. We are getting married, but now coming upwith a date has been a task because I again, don't want to sound naggy/ selfish. Plus not to add that all vendors need a new date so that we won't lose out on our money. My photographer has no Saturdays open for any month, but Nov. Which now lead to be open to get married on a friday or sunday. That will be fine with me, but FH and I needs to come up with a date. I don't know when to bring it up to him. I know it's in his mind because our wedding date was April 14, 2012 and how can we be nearing that date without him saying anything. There's more that is going on, but I said I will make a long story short...Please Keep Us in Prayer. SPECIAL THANKS!!! I want to thank you and give a shout out my fellow sister bride to be Christy1 for taking time out and recognizing that I was missing. One day I was feeling really down and I recieved an email for her just checking on me because she notice that I have not post anything. I shared with her our situation and she was very encouraging. I needed that at that moment because things have been very emotional. That kind of care was needed..thanks girly! Thanks I want to say Congratulations to glamdivabride on her upcoming wedding!! Girl you rock, And you are going to be beautiful on your wedding day! |

POLAR PLUNGE!!!
I DID IT!!!
Happy New Year to all my fellow brides!
I took the plunge, the POLAR PLUNGE that is!.. for those that may not know what that is; it's a long going yearly tradition here in Milwaukee, WI (I sure in other cities as well) where people go to Lake Michigan on January 1st and plunge right in the freezing cold water wearing a bathing suit or their choice of clothing. I have always wanted to do it, but my non-brave friends would never do it with me. SO I did it ALL by myself... As I ran toward the water and my toes hit the freezing cold water I quickly thought this may not be as good of an idea as I thought it will be I could not turn back because all of the cramp I talked to them about not doing it. Well, I kept running and before I know it I drove right in!!! YAY! I did it head (HAIR) wet and all, and we all know a woman does not like getting her hair wet especially freezing cold water. I came up and ran out of the water and head back toward my cheering section who had my towel and dry clothes and a blanket. I felt empowered in some way. It wasn't as bad as I thought even with the wind chilling wind cutting across my skin...YAY! I am officially what one will be called a POLAR BEAR after they took the plunge... I waiting for my friend to send me the pix Happy New Year and Happy Planning! |

My centerpieces
Here samples of my centerpieces.
because I want it to be romantic and simple I want a million candles. I basically want all candles with some flowers inside of the vases. My decorator has a lot of candles to light. hahaha.. I do not like even numbers (weird) I want either one vase (tall or short) with groups of three tealights around the single vase. So, that will be nine tealights in total. And If there is a group of three vases I want three tealights around the group of three. and if she decides to place randoms heights on the table I want a group of five or seven. NO EVEN NUMS..hahaha I want to see the room before everyone arrives at the reception site, but that will not be possible because I will be taking pictures. So I have to trust that she will do exactly what I want. I am actually going to have a set of eyes there for me to send me text messages of the room. this way, if it isn't how I want it it will be changed before I arrive. Happy Planning |

Wedding Cake
Here are some samples of my wedding cake...cupcakes
I absolutely love this! It's going to be beautiful and it goes along with the fun aspect of my wedding. The cupcakes are different flavors: banana, red velvet, lemon, and chocolate and pecan ( a specialty that the baker has). They all will be decorated with french butter creme frosting with corneli lace design in teal and brown cupcake wraps. A few of them will have a teal or brown flower. The table will have a few butterflies (because he gives me butterflies) along with a milliion candles. On a square cupcake stand. Because my FH has a Corvette and he loves them; I am surprising him with a Grooms Corvette Cake...Shhhh don't tell him. Happy Planning! |

Wedding Flowers
Hello Ladies,
I love flowers and I know roses are what most brides may carry as they walk down the aisle, but I want my favorite flower which is the Gerbera Daisy. I really want my wedding to reflect me and not what should be. My bouquet is going to have gerbera daisies along with another type of flower. the maids will also carry daisy and they will put their bouquets in vases once they arrive at the reception as part of the centerpieces. here are a few samples...
