Hello Everyone.
It has been a while since I have been on. I figure it is time to update everyone on our wedding. As some of you may know from reading my previous blogs, Richard is from England. We thought that we were just going to have a wedding here in Alberta and Richards family would fly over here to attend the wedding. A couple weeks ago Richards father called and told us there would be 20 PEOPLE from England coming. Now imagine trying to fit 20 people into a two bedroom house. I was stressing about that and how I was going to be able to show them around Alberta while finishing up planning the wedding.
Last week we got another phone call from Richards father. They decided that it would just cost too much to come over to Canada. So his father surprised us with offering to pay for a wedding dance back in England. So, the day after our wedding we plan to fly back to England for two weeks. I am very grateful to Richards family for doing this for us as it also allows Richard to see friends and family he has not seen in 2 years. This also means that I get to wear my wedding dress twice...now it does not seem so expensive haha.
Richard has told me I need to come up with things to do England. I am not too sure what to do. If any of you have any ideas feel free to leave me a comment.

-How long did you date before you got engaged?
14 months
-How did you meet?
My best friend cut Richards hair and immediately after called me to tell me she met the perfect guy for me. A group of us went out on the weekend and Richard was at the bar we went to.

-Did you get the ring you wanted?
Yes...Richard originally bought me one in England (he is from England and here in Canada on a work permit) and lost it somewhere en route back to Canada. When he got back he was searching frantically through his bags and had to confess to me what had happened. Needless to say we went and picked one out together a few weeks later.

-Was the proposal a complete surprise?
I had my suspicions that it was going to happen.

-Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
No I love my ring...unique and a good shape for work.

-Did you cry when he proposed?
No, but grinning ear to ear.

-Was the proposal romantic or creative?
I would say fitting.

-Where do you want to go for your honeymoon?
We may not have one because Richards family will be coming over here for the wedding and we probably can not book more time off work for a honeymoon.

-Are you buying his wedding band for him?
I have not thought of that.

-Have you gone over your original wedding budget?
We have not done much planning yet...we will see....yikes.

A country hall where I grew up

I have not picked one out yet

Not too sure my hair is not quite shoulder length so I have no clue

I will be 22 and Richard 24

It's a long ways away but will not start planning until closer

I am doing it myself with my families help

-Why did you pick the day?
We both love fall and thought that the colors would be amazing for our wedding. And we are having a thanksgiving supper because Richards family have never had thanksgiving so it will be a great experiance for them.

Hi, my name is Megan and I am a new bride to be on here! My fiance, Richard, and I got engaged July 26th and since then Ive only done a few things with planning. I will be going dress shopping on January 15th....we will see what kind of dress I get. I have no idea what I am looking for.

My wedding colors are eggplant and whatever accent color goes, I havent decided yet. Our theme is country classy! and our wedding will take place in my hometown in the country.
