This is cowgirlznen88's Yellow Wedding!

My mind is in a rut here! So I guess we should've decided on wedding favors BEFORE I went out and bought these cute little bags. (You can scroll down my page and see the wedding favor bags) I guess in all reality we don't have to use the bags, but I think they are cute! Anddddddddddddddddddddddd I JUST realized we have 60 bags and are probably having 100 people now...Scratch ALL of that!

So anyway.... I was just curoius what you girls are giving away for wedding favors? We had talked about candy apples or somthing edible....It's really the only thing I think EVERYONE will get some use out of. Haha. Everyone is so different and the one thing we all do is eat right?

...I am putting WAY too much thought into everything...butttttt....I need your girls' opinions....

The hotel we are having the reception at fans their napkins (see picture). But I've seen a lot of people make like little napkin holders with monograms on them or what not....

What do you think would look better? The napkins are black if that helps...

Do you girls know what you are dancing to with your father? I think we are going to dance to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. I am SO excited for the father daughter dance!!! My dad is one of my best friends!!!

As far as the mother son dance for my fiance and his mother....I'm still searching.... I was thinking "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts, but I still am not sure. My fiance doesn't care so it's up to me to pick I guess. I have googled mother son dances and all the songs I have seen aren't really fitting....

Anyone waiting to go on their honeymoon????

We were going to go before the wedding....But I just don't forsee that happening. We have to meet with EVERYONE we booked 2-3 weeks before the wedding, which is when we planned on going. I am going to finish my nursing degree starting in October till next September...So we have NO time to go between here and there. *sigh*

I guess it gives us something else to look forward to for next year right?!?!

We had talked about a cruise, but I'm scared of water and boats! Hahaha...So maybe that is not a good choice eh? I want to go to Australia or Europe.....What do you girls think!??! I've been to the Caribbean (Dominican Republic) so I'd like to go somewhere totally different.... We are taking our son too... I just can't leave him! :-( What a honeymoon right? Hahaha... Oh well....Least we will all be together! :-)

I am honestly on the verge of tears right now.

I bought my dress a few months ago....I told the gal I wanted to order a size smaller than I had tired on, due to the fact that I just had a baby! I planned on losing like 30 more pounds before the wedding. At any rate....She talked me out of it...Said it was 'safer' to go with the size I tried on and they could take it down a size. So I went with her on it, because she works there and should know right?

WELL.....I tried on my dress today. It is WAY too big...I'm thinking it will need taken down more than one size! Is that possible?!!? I swear she told me it can only go up one size and down one size...PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE tell me they can take it down more than one size! The sticks out way far in the front and the back. Pictures don't do justice to how big it is on me...But I have a few anyway....

I went to have my hair and make up done today...And if you looked at my previous post you'd see what I wanted done, as to what she did. First of all....She didn't even TOUCH my 'bangs'....She pulled it all back weirdly....One side from the back looks totally different from the other side....
At any rate....She tried and she was super nice...But I don't like what she did with my hair...It is mediocre, but not wedding approved. I'm now considering doing a 'down' style for the wedding. *sigh* I just don' t know! HATE the front by the way..How boring!

And as for the makeup. Whateverrrrrrr! She didn't even try! Seriously....She did my face and I ended up just doing it myself when I got home. My eyes...She started off with some WEIRD color and I looked like a freak! So she 're-did' it and one eye looked TOTALLY different then the other! Then she put some BRIGHT pink lipstick on me. Wow. I looked like MeeMee of Drew Carey! I told her exactly what I wanted to. And brought pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The from the eye shadow she had that ALL over my cheeks! I had to wipe it off and blend things in! Awful....

At any rate...I took some pics....

Do you girls have any good invitation websites?
I googled:
'black and yellow wedding invitations'
'black white and yellow invitations'
'wedding invitations'

And seem to only be finding lame sites with no good invitations.

I would like to find some in black, white and yellow....The ones I posted before are a no go. So the search continues.... I guess paper is usually white, ink is black, so just need a splash of yellow in there. If I had time, I'd create my own. But with a 6 month old, I just DON'T see it happening.

I need HELP!

We are renting a 300-400 dollar limo for one hour and I want to get my freaking moneys worth.....Having said that....What do the guests do in the mean time? It is only going to take them 15-20 minutes max to get to the hotel for the reception....Should we have like hors d'oeuvres or something at the reception hall till we show up?

I went to a wedding this past weekend where people had a 'social hour' but we don't need that long...I don't want to keep them waiting forever...But my fiance insists of spending way too much money for a BRAND SPANKIN NEW Navigator limo.... We are surely putting a dent in their payments. *Rolls eyes*

Or if you guys have advice on how I can talk him into a regular limo let me know! ;-P Haha..Yeah right...He is set in stone. Blehhh...Guess I am spending a lot for stuff so he can pick one thing out right? ;-)

I went to a wedding on Saturday night and fell in love with the DJ.... He has an amazing voice...But don't tell my fiance I said that! ;-P

Anyway....My fiance called them today and booked them! I'm freaking excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess they have done weddings before at the hotel we are having our reception at and my fiance said, "The DJ said with the main setup they have gotten lots of compliments and raves about the sound and lights in the *Hotel* rooms that we are. So that is nice!"
I'd rather not say what hotel we are at ! ;-)

How much are you all paying for music? This seems like a lot and I'm not really fond of all the lights and what not, but my fiance and friends say it would be neat. I'm just excited to have two dj's! I guess one does the music and announcement while the other comes out and boogies with the crowd! Giddyup!

I'm not totally sure if I want to go with either of these...But I am having a REALLY hard time finding black, white and yellow invites! I looked for over an hour yesterday online and only really came up with these two.

I don't like the wording on either of these...but love the colors!

Do any of you girls feel obligated to invite people to your wedding?

Ugh....Like people that have invited you to theirs... There's a few people that we kind of feel obligated to invite and I just don't really want to invite them...Is that rude?

Like this guy my fiance knows. Him and his fiance are getting married this July and invited us to their wedding....Wayne says we should invite him to ours... The last time he saw or even talked to him was a year ago! They never talk, only see each other once a year.

That and my dad was asking me who I was inviting from our old church and I said only two people...He seemed upset....

And we go to a church with like 100 people and we don't want to invite everyone, obviously!

Things are comming together really smoothly so far! I can't remember if I already mentioned this...But I have my centerpieces all figured out! I will post a picture after the candles come in and everything is set up all together!

My son is also 6 months old today! Where does the time go!??!

So I would like to lose 9 more pounds to get back to my pre-prego weight and then some more on top of that! I had a baby almost 6 months ago and gained 55 pounds. Eww, I know. I ate like a COW the whole time! Haha
I work out a lot. I get up at 6-7am and run 3-4 miles and then do Turbo Jam for 45 mins, alternating cardio and weights. And if the weather would ever cooperate I would love to take my son out for walks. We have a kick arse jogging stroller that needs some mad mileage on it! We typically walk 6 miles a day when we do have the chance to get out. Running inside is SO different from walking outside. I could walk all day long...Where as when I am inside I stare at the clock the WHOLE time!!!
Anyone else need to lose some weight?
Any good tips?
I TRY to count calories...I did last month and saw major results...But this month just isn't the same. I think it is beacuse I get up earlier and am working out more. So I feel hungry more. :-( I have to run in the morning because my fiance bought me an elliptical for Mother's Day and would be majorly mad if I didn't use it! Haha.
Anyone have any tips on foods that can make you full longer? I eat cereal for breakfast, soup for lunch, have a light snack, and then dinner. Dinner is my enemy! I have to cook for my fiance and I both so it's hard to eat just healthy when he likes a filling meal. Ugh. What do you girls do!?!?

A girl I have known for like 10 years got married this weekend. My sister and I actually introduced the couple. They have been dating for 5 years and kept putting the wedding off...
It was so beautiful! When the bride walked out, I was all teared up. That confirms I'm going to be crying like a baby at my wedding!!!
They had lots of yummy food too..Pretty sure I gained like 5 pounds!!! Haha.
And I THINK we may book the same DJ they had! He was really good! I was impressed!!

My fiance and I briefly discussed this and he said he didn't want to, but now he is thinking that he does want to.

I know I want to....I'm going to be crying like a big baby though. I can see it now!

I might have to hire a make up artist ;-) To fix my dripping face every two minutes!!!!!!

I got it the day I went and picked out my dress. I was under a lot of pressure from my sister, friend, and the lady working there.... "It matches the dress! YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!!" Ahhhhhh! So I did. It was freaking expensive too....

I haven't decided fully on these bouquets...But I thought these were prettttty!
I honestly have no clue what I would do without the internet and being able to browse pictures of everything!!!

My sister and I went to pick up my wedding dress and quickly browsed bridesmaid dresses and I decided to have black dresses with yellow somewhere on them....
I'm thinking either...
1-Yellow up top and on the bottom of the dress...Like a few inches of yellow.
2-Yellow on the bottom of the dress and a yellow tie....
3-All three? I don't want it to look tack if I do all three though...So probably one of the first two....

The dresses come in all black (see picture one) But I am going to have my fiance's mother make either a tie for them or put yellow on top. It's pretty neat...You just put buttons inside the top of the dress and you can put the extra yellow piece on it....That way you can wear the dress as plain black again!
For the bottom yellow piece you just sew the fabric on to a slip and wear it under the black dress!!! That way my ladies are spending 100-120 bucks for a dress they only wear once!
The second pic is to show how you can add on to the bottom and add a sash or whatever they are called...Doesn't have any pics of adding on to the top though. Boo!

I chopped off like a good 6-8 inches off a few weeks ago and am regretting it for when the wedding rolls around! Ugh.

I know I want some simple waves and probably just pinned up...But then I have two veils to wear...So all the hair styles I found propbably won't work with the veils I have. Hadn't I spent 200 bucks on veils I just wouldn't wear them...Buttttt that isn't the case!
