Sorry for the long delay...I know everyone's been DYING to know what happened with the proposal...lol...not!!

Anyway, Alex proposed 11/24/08:*) I'm glad he did because he totally caught me off guard! The proposal was so sweet and just very *us*. He asked me at home before going out to dinner. As he was getting down on one knee, he dropped the ring! Classic:*) I started jumping up and down and gave him a big hug and kiss w/o actually accepting the proposal...lol! We put on a nice song (the sweetest love by robin thicke-this will be our wedding song) and we started dancing. About halfway through the song, Alex says...so, ummm...do you want this ring or not?? LOL...of course I say yes and as I extend my left hand I knock the ring out of his hand!!

Probably the goofiest proposal ever, but I wouldn't change a thing!! It was simply perfect:*)

Hi all,

This is my very first blog. I've decided to write here because I'm pretty sure I'm driving my boyfriend crazy talking about the wedding. Here's some background info about us.

Alex & I met at college in 2004. We lived in the same dorm. I remember seeing him and thinking, "Wow...he's really cute." I had a boyfriend at the time, so I never said much to Alex besides the occasional, polite, "hi, how are you?" The following year, my roommate introduced us at a party. I'm pretty sure I was drooling as I spoke to him. Still, we didn't say much to each other...lots of smiling and awkward silence...haha. We had our first date on the day before Thanksgiving in 2005. We went to this little Italian restaurant in his hometown. I remember not really liking the spaghetti, mostly because they didn't have angel hair noodles. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn't "carry" that?? Anyway, we became "official" and exclusive on New Year's Eve of that year.

Fast-forward to the present: I am waiting on an engagement ring. He has been paying on the ring for about a month...although it seems way longer. I am trying to be patient, but it is really hard! I'm thinking that he's planning on proposing on our 3rd dating anniversary..the day before Thanksgiving...well, I'm hoping that he does. That would be this-coming Wednesday:*) Alex and I have set a date for our wedding eventhough we're not engaged yet. The date will be June 12, 2010. This day is called "Loving Day" and marks the decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn the ban restricting interracial marriage.

I am so excited to marry Alex. He is an all-around great guy & I love him dearly. So, now, I'm just playing the waiting game...and failing horribly. Ok...that's about it for now. Thanks for reading.
