ostrich feather centerpieces
sooo ladies i am totally IN LOVE with this feather centerpiece idea!
I am looking to buy the centerpieces myself. Problem is, most of the places that sell the whole "kit" [feathers, vase, light] sell them with the eiffel tower vase, which i HATE SO I am going for the more expensive vase, the trumpet vase. I found a website (sixstarsales.org) which sells a kit of 6 centerpieces - 120 feathers, 24" trumpet vases, 2 lights for inside of each vase, and the styrofoam tops for the feathers - for about $370 including shipping. I did the math, and it's a litlte more than $60 per centerpiece. What do you ladies think? too pricey or just right for such a BREATHTAKING centerpiece?!?!?! |

The Proposal
December 6, 2008
Adam planned a trip to NYC, claiming he had never seen the Rockerfeller Christmas tree.
When we got off of the subway, it was super crowded! As we were trying to figure out how to get to the iceskating rink, I saw an area blocked off where the NBC store was taking free pictures of people by the Christmas tree. I convinced Adam to go wait in line with me to take some nice pics! When it was finally our turn to take the pictures, I turned around to put down my purse and when I turned back around, Adam was on already on his knee... and he said, "Will you be my wife?" and I said... "Are you being serious right now???" The biggest surprise of the night was yet to come! As we were walking off (I was still crying like a baby, of course) we see a woman pointing a video camera at them. I figured the lady had seen the whole proposal and was recording us walking off or something... But she continued to follow us! [i was like wtf?!?!] When I turned around to take a good look at the lady, I was surprised to see it was MY MOM! And then, Adam's mom appeared too!!!!!!!! Adam had asked them to fly up to NYC to be part of the most speical moment in our lives (so far!) We enjoyed the rest of the weekend in the company of our amazing mothers who (both) continued to remind the city of New York that their kids had just gotten engaged =D |
