Bridesmaids
I managed to let them find something they both liked in the color that I wanted! Yeah! They will be out fitted for about $100 each so I think that is pretty great...

Wedding Hair Style
I think that I have narrowed it down!
Here is the one style I am thinking of... my hair is fairly long now so I think that it will work and it aleiviates any worry of my hair falling flat because it does not hold curl.

Wedding Cake
Here's the cake that we have chosen... it is being made by Bear's Paw Bakery in Jasper. We will have the royal blue ribbon instead of the blue in the picture and we will have the centre filled with flowers in the theme of my bouquet. The cake topper suits us... It took us six years to get engaged! :)

Wedding Flowers
I don't have a sample of my bouquet all together but here are all of the elements. Even though I am getting married in the spring, my favorite colors are the fall colors so I am going with them anyways. Besides, I think that the colors will look nice with royal blue dresses that we picked out for the bridesmaids. I am getting my flowers done by Elysion Flowers (http://www.flowersjasper.com/). A friend of mine got married in Jasper too and had similar flowers... they were amazing so I am excited to see mine. They are also going to loop royal blue ribbon through my bouquet and tie the bottom with the same ribbon. My bridesmaids will have silver wrapped around the bottom of their bouquets.

Wedding Dress
Well... here is my dress! I am so excited about it. I don't have any pictures of me in it yet because my mom still hasen't sent them but I will post them when I get them. This dress is by Moonlight. It was purchased at Tiffany's Bridal in Edmonton. They were really nice and helpful.

The Proposal
He is so romantic! :)
I know that it is a really long story but I love telling it!

Cory asked me to marry him on Saturday, September 22, 2008 in the early afternoon. We were in Jasper for a wedding on Friday. About half way there, we realized that we forgot the camera. We arrived in Jasper on Friday with just enough time to get ready for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we went to a pub to warm up and Cory was hugging and kissing me and the photographer for the wedding asked us if we were newly weds... of course we said no but she said that we were really cute and took our picture. Later that evening, at the reception, it came time for the bouquet toss and guess who caught it? Me! and then came the garter toss. Can you guess who caught that? It ended up landing right in front of Cory (He really tried to stand far away but fate handed it right to him). So of course everyone was asking when we were getting married and of course we were like no plans yet. When we went off to go back to the hotel room, we decided to try for a late check out. I didn't think that we would get one because the place was booked full for another wedding the next day. When we asked at the front desk, the guy suggested 1 pm and that was perfect for us so we said yes. When we got up the next morning (at about noon) we prepared to leave, making coffees, etc. We opened up the curtains and we had just a beautiful view of the sun shining off the snow capped mountains, the lake nice and calm and the trees were filled with beautiful fall colors...So we made our way down to check out and Cory suggested going out on the paddle boats. I really didn't want to as we hadn't eaten and well, I was lazy. Instead we decided to go and sit on the pier for a bit where there was a row of benches set up. When we got down there it started to sprinkle a little but it was still nice. Nobody was around. That is when Cory turned to me and told me that he had been thinking about us a lot, that he loved me and realized that he wanted to be with me forever (It was at this point that I started to cry and shake so I had to pause to put my coffee down), which is when he got down on one knee and opened the ring box and just at that moment the rain stopped and the sun came out and shone on us.Cory asked me to marry him and I said Of course I will... Yes! We hugged and kissed and talked about our future. It started to rain a bit again so we decided to leave and go get something to eat. When we went to leave, we noticed a person on the dock taking pictures of the mountains, Cory asked him if he had taken pictures of the proposal and he said yes. He also said he was a professional photographer and offered to take another formal picture of us and that he would be happy to email the pictures to us, so of course we agreed. When we got his business card, it turns out that he was from South Africa and in town for the wedding that day. We settled everything and went back to the car, got in and it started to hail. We just had to laugh... everything about the weekend was just so strangely perfect.
