Corset Dress- What Size?
So I've fully decided to order the Amara Royale this weekend. Problem is I have no idea if I should order a size 8 or 10. I know that gowns are typically 2 sizes bigger than your street clothes (I'm a 6) but I'm afraid of maybe losing weight before the wedding because in stressful/busy times in my life my weight changes rapidly. I'm afraid of getting a dress that will be too big or too small. With a corset gown that can be tightened or loosened a bit, what would you ladies suggest??

Wedding Dress

So after falling "in like" with a few dresses because of certain details on them, i've finally fell "in L.o.v.e" with a dress and all of the aspects of it! Finally my corset, sweetheart, mermaid, and embroidery!
Hopefully i'll be trying it on this weekend. If not, because Nova Scotia dress shopping sucks, i'll have to risk the chance of ordering it in (putting a deposit on) and hoping for the best. Opinions? p.s. Sorry i've been M.I.A for the last couple of months, but things were pretty hectic in the move and job hunt. -Crystal xo |

Nova Scotia Dress Shopping Sucks!!
Ugh i'm so frustrated! Even when i try looking at dresses from Designers that are carried around here (down east) No bridal shops ever have the ones in stock that i want to try!!!
I'm going to end up buying a dress that i can't even try on first. Has anyone else does this? I don't want to spend $2000 + to order a dress and then not like it when it does come! I am NOT a catalogue shopper!! : ( |

Ok so third times a charm!! I'm officially not changing my mind anymore! There are adorable (and reasonably priced) BM dresses on davidsbridal.com and also they have this nifty little dress up game where you can see the colors together!
So 3 BM's will wear Yellow floor length fitted dresses with Orange sashes, and 3 will wear Orange dresses with the Yellow sashes. The Groomsmen will wear completely black (includ. vests) with just colored ties and pocket ties. |

Trying on some new styles this weekend!
On of my BMs is coming up to visit this weekend for Halloween so on friday we're going to go dress shopping!! I'm hoping to try on some new styles and see if there's any chance that any other dress could be "the dress"! These are the dresses i'll planning to try...
I'm holding out on that shipping fee! ; ) lol P.s. Also started taking with a bakery to design the cake, and Emplume for the feather bouquets!! |

Centerpieces!
Hey ladies! wow it's been awhile!! we're finally all moved into our new place in NS and *finally* have our internet and everything hooked up!! apparently i can't post on the site from my iphone.. :(
But anyways!! We found the perfect centerpieces!! i know, i know, they're not that fabulous but the color, theme and more importantly the price is right!!! We're thinking something underneath and a few tea lights around them as well. Check them out, we're currently going around store to store trying to find as many as possible. lol, our storage room is looking very festive for halloween!! (this one has spiders because i'm actually using this one as a personal halloween decoration, lol. so imagine them without the dangling spiders..) -Crystal |

So upset!
So as i said before i finally had a bridal shop email me back about that dress saying that yes they did in fact have it in stock.
Umm.. maybe you should not rely only on your book of items in stock and physically look for the damn dress first before replying to someone who lives an hour and a half away from your shop! Ughhh.. i was very pissed. The lady felt bad though and tried to get me to play along and try on other dresses even though i have my heart set on *that* dress. I did try a few on with the same type of fit. I'll post those pics up later so you can help me judge how they suit my bodytype.. anwyays ladies it's back to packing for me! Moving to NS in **12 hours!** |

Trying on my *Dream Dress* tomorrow!!
So a little email completely changed my plans of packing all day tomorrow!!
"Hi Crystal We have a sample of Demetrios #3130 in our store. We do not require an appointment and look forward to meeting you. Thank You" So even though tomorrow is Saturday and we're moving 2000km away on monday morning with only half of our apartment packed right now, it looks like i'll be putting off packing a little longer to finally see how this dress looks on!! I'm praying my hips won't ruin this for me!! ; ) |

Wedding Flowers
Calla Lilies, the perfect flower?
So i've been thinking about flowers, i'm not that big of a fan of flowers other than for the Bouquets and Boutonnieres.
Apparently you can buy Fresh Calla Lilies that are such a dark maroon color that they appear almost black, while you can get others that are orangey-yellow, and of course the white ones. So i like the idea of the orangey-yellow for my bouquet OR a mix of black and white.. not 100% sure what will look better??..., and the blacker ones for the bridesmaids with a few orange ones thrown in to tie it all together. ((For center pieces i'm mostly using twigs and chinese lanterns.)) What do you ladies think? |

Too early to start shopping?
Hi Ladies, My name is Crystal and i have a confession to make - I'm a Shopaholic. Literally. Ask my FH, he'll definitly confirm.
So with the wedding 2 years away, my plan is to have everything ready and planned by next year to make minimal stress the year of. That said, are there any other brides out there with lots of time before their wedding date but can't help but want to start purchasing things now?? Or am i the only crazy one? I think it will just fuel the excitement that much more! Things i'm considering buying : Cake Topper, Masks, Bridal Accessories, Decor etc.. P.s. Because i'm so obsessed with Halloween anyways, I have a strong feeling that this Halloween we will have a lot of extra decorations that could be used as reception decor (i,e, lights, candles, linen...) ; ) Oh dear.. i need help, anyone know of any meetings i can attend?? ; ) |
