Wedding day
We did it!

One day?!
I'm reading my little countdown on the right sidebar and it says ONE DAY till my wedding. Welp, it's true. Tomorrow is the day to set up the venue then the next day is our day. Aw, it finally came. I feel like I've sort of been waiting for this since we first started dating (almost eight years ago). I knew he'd be the one brave enough to take me on.

I'm not traditional. I don't wanna feel/look like a princess on my wedding day. I am not going to throw a bouquet. There will be no garter. No cake. But I did want to give our little niece a chance to be a flower girl. Here is her basket--full of (what else?) wildflower silks.

We worked on these this weekend. I love them. You KNOW how I feel about wildflowers. I spent $30 total on all the wildflower seed favors. I used leftover fabric scraps to tie the boxes.

The next project of my DIY wedding: Fancifying the plain ol reception room. I am making these in a variety of colors to hang from the rafters. We will possible put some outside with the twinkle lights and trees for the ceremony as well. They take a long, long, long time to make.But I am thinking SO WORTH IT.
I am open to other color suggestions, too. In the works I have a blue/teal one and I would also like to do a burlap/brown one. Can you think of other color groups/cute fabrics to include? |
