DIY Wedding
Mossy initials

I called in sick to stay home and make these today. 16 days left! These lovelies shall sit on the big empty mantel at the wedding venue. That room won't even know what hit it when we're done!

Awesome!  They look great!  I'm planning to do the same thing - only to hang the initials on the church doors.  I already bought wooden letters and moss.  Any advice on the easiest way to do it?  Also, what kind of moss did you use?

Very Green!  You did a good job while sick. It's amazing how well we do when we are sick? LOL Yayy, 16 days and counting!

Thanks gals. I actually was NOT sick, but needed a good reason to stay home and work on this stuff. It was worth it. I got so much done.

Sept Bride2010--I used Hiawatha Green Moss--it's from the pacific northwest rainforests and it worked great. I found mine at Michaels.  http://www.beautifulorchids.com/orchids/Accessories/moss/green.jpg
I suggest using hot glue and doing bits at a time, to keep it neat. The wildness of the moss can make it easily get out of control. SO get your patience on and gooo slooow :)

I did this as well for the reception entrance as well as making moss covered picture frames to hold the table names. I got a bag of reindeer moss from save-on-crafts.com. It only took one bag for me to do everything.
