The first date we wanted, which was our official "dream wedding date" was 6/7/08, not simply because it would've been really easy to remember, but more importanly because that was our 5 year anniversary from when we first got engaged, even down to the same day of the week and everything (which was a Saturday)!! Well, that didn't work out due to time and money, and because I just graduated from college last December, so by the time I got busy trying to plan things, everything was booked up anyways!! So then we moved it to 12/21/08 because we decided that we still at least wanted to get married sometime before the end of 2008!! Well....my car didn't like that idea so much and decided to give out on me in July, taking away pretty much ALL of the money that my fiance and I had been saving up for "our half" of the wedding budget (and then my parents will match whatever we can come up with). So then we decided on 5/9/09, nothing really significant about it, basically it would've been the next available time that my parents could come down from Virginia (which is where I'm from) to Alabama (which is where my fiance's from and where we live now) for the wedding!! WELL, our FINAL date change just occured at the beginning of December whenever we were 5 months away from 5/9/09, and we all decided (meaning mainly my parents lol) that it would be better to wait until August, which is the next time that my parents can come down, and this would give us a little extra time to save up some more money and to get everything done too!! SOOO....August 7th, 2009 it is...and that's FINAL....finally!!! lol ;-)
PS - Don't you mean Saturday, September 5th, 2009?? Or maybe you meant Sunday, the 6th?? lol Just checking cause my MOH is getting married Saturday, September 5th too!!
So yes, the 5th! (Thank you for pointing that out... That would have been horrible! *L*)
