Venue - Booked! - CUPCAKEMONSTER's Pink Wedding by Color Blog

We put our deposit down to have our ceremony and reception at Brix Restuarant & Wine Bar. I love the food and lounge-like atmosphere of this place. The first time we went there was on our two years of dating. I think I will save a bundle on decorations because I already love the way it looks. It's got a neat courtyard for the ceremony and the restuarant is decorated with mirrors and chandeliers. I won't have to add much except for centerpieces.

They called a few days ago to tell me that another couple wanted to book the same date, so I rushed down that day and put the deposit down. It's over a year away, I can't believe how fast places book up!

I LOVE Brix - what a great venue. And Blue Olive Photography is absolutely fantastic! You will love them! I just couldn't afford them.

Oh and btw - get used to it. Vancouver is a cash cow for weddings. Everything books up soooooooooooo fast!!!!!

Last summer we were trying to book the UBC Boathouse for this year, and they only had 2 Fridays available. Can u believe that?!?!

My goodness! only 2 Fridays left a year away...that's scary!! The UBC Boathouse will be so beautiful in August.

We actually didn't book Blue Olive, I just wanted to borrow their pictures of Brix. They were also too pricey for me hehe.

Hey if you don't mind me asking... what was the approximate cost for you to book you wedding at Brix and for how many guests? Are you having your reception and ceremony there? Any help would be appreciated!
