I instantly fell in love with these shoes when I stumbled upon them in a google image search. Only...

Wedding Cake
Icredible Mario Cakes!!!
I can't believe these cakes exist, they are so cute and amazing! I came across the first one on a forum, and immediately did a mario cake search. They are so cute!!! Bryan and I decided early on that we wouldn't have anything too novelty at the wedding, but I absolutely love these cakes, it makes me grin just looking at them.

Fuchsia Bling?
I saw these paper weights that came in a few different colours in an accessory store. I'm not even sure why I bought it, I think I'll buy anything fuchsia right now!! It was 50% off, I couldn't help it. Seems crazy, but I feel so satisfied when I buy anything for the wedding.
Maybe I'll just put it by the guestbook table, or the table where we sign the certificate...not really sure lol. |

Wedding Dress
Something Blue Vancouver
I went to Something Blue with my mom on Saturday, it's a smaller boutique that carries their own line, and there was a dress there that I really loved! It is silk charmeuse and bias cut like my Amy Michelson dream dress. The front of the dress looks similar but the back is completely open with two long tails at the lower back. The lady who helped us was really nice and said we could modify the back so that it will look like the dresses I posted below. She estimated about $250 for the modifications which will still be in my budget and is a lot more affordable than the Amy Michelson Gown.
I'm going to keep my options open, but I think I might go with this one! |

Dress shopping today
Today my mom and I are going to Something Blue www.somethingbluevancouver.com to go dress shopping. I'm so excited to shop with her! These are the three pics I'm going to print out and bring with me as examples of what I am looking for. I hope I can find something similar to try on today.

Fuchsia Clutch
I bought this fuchsia clutch at B2 on my lunch break. I wasn't sure If I wanted or needed a clutch at first, I was shopping with my coworker who was looking for one for her wedding when I spotted it. When I took it home and put it besides the bridesmaid's shoes I loved it even more, it's the perfect colour. My friend ended up with a really pretty BCBG champagne clutch.

Ask a Question
Vote: Groomsman attire
Hey Ladies,
My best friend/man of honour is so awesome! I've been thinking about what he and the groomsman should wear, and he took these pics to help give me an idea of what the different combinations would look like (Don't mind the velvet jacket, it's just to get an idea of how the colours will look hehe) What do you think? 1. Black jacket, fuchsia shirt, black tie 2. Black jacket, black shirt, fuchsia tie 3. Black jacket, white shirt, fuchsia tie Thanks for looking! |

Ask a Question
Are you covering a tattoo and what's the best technique?
I've been thinking a lot about whether or not I should cover my half sleeve on my wedding day, and how I would go about it. A long sleeved wedding dress is out of the question!
A part of me wishes I could just rock it with pride. I mean I've had it for so long, it feels like a part of me. I know Bryan doesn't mind it, but I'm really worried I will feel self conscience about it. I'm especially wondering what his extended family will think when they see it for the first time at the wedding. So far I'm leaning towards covering it, but I'm not sure what the best method is. I bought some Dermablend leg and body cover cream and setting powder online. I had high hopes, but when I apply it the tattoo is always somewhat visible underneath and the colour isn't quite right. I just watched an episode of wedding SOS where a makeup artist used some orange stuff to block out the tattoo and then airbrushed it. It looked fantastic, really natural. The last time I was at my local MAC pro shop I noticed they had an airbrush. I'm thinking of going there for a trial coverup. Are any of you ladies covering tattoos? Any advice on how to do it? |

Desperately seeking Amy Michelson Bling...
I've had a pretty good idea what kind of wedding gown I wanted ever since I started planning. I knew I wanted something sleek and slinky either a sheath or a mermaid silhouette, silk charmeuse with something interesting in the back.
I fell in love with an Amy Michelson gown, Bling it's everything I'm looking for. I saw it first online and a few weeks ago I went to the only boutique in my area that is listed as an Amy Michelson retailer. The boutique was having a sample sale that weekend so I had my hopes up. They did have some Amy Michelson and other designer gowns for 50%, but Bling was regular price, and the price was way out of my range, about $3500 before taxes. It was the first dress I tried on, I didn't want to take it off! I'm really hoping I can find one preowned, I've seen some ads online, but none in my size or colour preference. At first I had my heart set on diamond white, but now I think I would settle for ivory if I could find it. I've been checking ebay, preownedweddingdresses and oncewed every day! now I just need some luck... |

Fuchsia Shoes
These are the shoes that I bought for my three female bridesmaid (I also have one male). I saw the pair on the left at the Nine West store, and they kind of inspired the colours for the wedding. I love that dark fuchsia that is almost red. They were my very first wedding purchase!
Unfortunately I had to return the ones on the right because my friend didn't care for them that much. I bought them from overstock.com and the heel was higher then it looked online. I think I lost out on about $30 in shipping costs, but I guess that is the risk of online shopping. So I'm on the hunt for one more pair of fuchsia heels...I'm also wondering if I should also wear fuchsia heels or if I should just stick to black. Anyone have any opinions on wearing bright coloured shoes on your wedding day? Bryan thinks it's strange, but I think it would be cute! All this shoe talk is getting the Kelly song "shoes" in my head haha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCF3ywukQYA |

Ring resized
Yay I picked up my engagement ring from People's today. I dropped it off on Thursday to be resized, they told me it would be ready within a week, but I got a call on Saturday saying it was ready. They have really good customer service. I couldn't decide whether to resize it to 3.75 or 3.5, I went with 3.5 and so far it feels ok, I just hope it doesn't get too tight in the summer...
