This is the hair fascinator I made to wear during my wedding. It was super simple and I LOVE the way it turned out. The pictures don't do it justice, it's so pretty in person.
macbride- Yeah, I made it. I went to Michaels and purchased a real touch peony flower, feathers, rhinestones, and hair barrettes. I took the peony apart and hot glued certain pieces of it together and then glued on the feathers and rhinestones and then hot glued it to a barrette. It cost me about $7 and took a total of about 10 mins to do.
Macbride- My FH is constantly telling me that I should sell some of the stuff I make. I've always been a pretty crafty person and am always trying something new. I might just have to start selling some.. lol.
mibride080610- It was really simple. I just bought an artifical peony flower from Michaels and took the flower petal pieces off the stem (you kinda have to be careful so you dont rip the petal piece when you are trying to remove it from the rubber stem). There were a lot of petals, I didn't use the two biggers sets because they were too big for my head, but I picked out the petal sets I wanted to use and hot glued each set to the next. I bought a cheap bag of white feathers and just hot glued them to the back of the flowers so it kinda peaked out of the whole thing. Then I just had little individual rhinestones I bought from Micheals (crystazzi brand) and hot glued them in the center. Then I just hot glued the whole thing to a hair barrette (you can also glue it to a hair comb if you wanted, too.) Hope that helps, I might make more and can take step by step pictures if you want! Let me know!
i love this i have been looking for 1 for at least 2 weeks now and can not find one that is cheap the ones in the bridal stores are over 100.00. I think that i am going to try and make one myself this weekend however I am not sure if it will turn out this good.
would you consider making one for me if mine does not turn out well for a fee of course??
