Bridesmaids
Someone pull the knife out of my back please...
Here I am.... All excited about our new date, making arrangements...
I finally have gotten excited all over again since August when we lost our jobs.... I was able to call one of the bridesmaid's last night and tried another, before realziing that it was midnight, so I decided to wait to call the MOH, because of the late hour.....I come home tonight after working a LONG ASS DAY, and I get a bull shit e-mail that should have read "Hey Dani, Fuck you and Fuck your wedding, You can't and couldn't do your wedding, so I traded the dress I bought for your wedding, for a bridesmaid in my wedding, oh yeah and I hope this doesn't come between us, but fuck your wedding and you too" I couldn't wait to tell her, but I work soooo much, because we all lost our jobs. I drifted away from all of my girls and not intentionally, it wasn't just one of them it was all of them..... my only contact with some was facebook, and that was only if I saw there posts, or they posted something to me... Like my MOH Lindsey would always tell me and still does "I miss your face" I can't call her and have a long conversation with her like I would love too, but just a reply "I miss your face too" we undersand and she understands what's going on.... But no... My main MOH, because my life took a nose dive for reasons that we had NO control over..... she goes and trades in her bridesmaind dress for my wedding, for a bridesmaid dress for one of her bridesmaid and then acts like it's ok because I was one more Bridesmaid over grooms-men. But It's my wedding and I was ok with that, I wanted her to be my MOH that I didn't mind to have an off-set number... jsut to have her there, I valued her opinion greatly.... but no fuck me.... I guess I'm just venting, I feel betrayed and stabbed in the back, because she felt her wedding was more imporant because I fell on hard times... needless to say we just re-organized everything last night, the night before I get her bull shit fucking e-mail.... Ahhh... I need to calm down..... |

Wedding Reception
This is it!
So unfortunately, in August we both lost our jobs, including my parents. We had to request our deposit back on 'The Players Club' and have been waiting patiently on the economy to allow us to finally to get married.
Well today while looking for a house in Buckingham, we drove by here and saw a wedding going on... I thought to myself, why not there?? We are both Florida Crackers and very country and the place is perfect for us. We are thinking May 7th, 2011 and possibly doing the reception here or at a friends land in Buckingham. So we will see, watch my posts for more details to come... PS..... The bridesmaid don't know yet, well one of the MOH's do! LOL. But not both... |

Resentful Girl Friends?!?!?
So last night I went and picked up 2 of my bridesmaids dresses! While I was there I was looking at possible reception gowns - just looking! Well a friend of mine who was previously mad at me for not asking her to be a Bridesmaid; came up to "show" some support... well she had not seen my wedding gown yet, so I asked them to pull the floor model so I could show her..... first things out of her mouth were "That's it?, no glam, no beads, no nothing?" and gave this nasty look at my dress.... so I started pretty much selling myself and my dress to her and relized "F this..." I turned to her and just said " Thank god your not one of my bridesmaids" and left it at that..... I really wanted to her to be involved in the wedding, but obviously without a 'title' she's nothing... Granted her and her boyfriend just broke up yesterday, but still, don't take your resentment out on me, because I'm happy in my relationship.
Needless to say I left shortly after and called all my BM's and my MOH's, they were pissed of course and told me not to 2nd guess my dress.... and that's me and it's beautiful! Is anyone else having girlfriend issues, that are not bridesmaids?!?!? and How are you handling it?!? |

Ideas and Issues
So I am happy to say that all my Bridesmaids have their/ordered/laying away there dresses except for ONE, my FH's sister - and it's great that when I call her or text her she ignores me and then calls my FH, which has now caused an argument between him and I, Through the issues I've had with some BM's she is the worse one of them, and a repetative one! It's never ending! I still do not have an answer on when she is getting her dress other than August - so I asked if she can atleast put it on layaway and pay it off in August - I recieve no answer! So I am giving it 2 more weeks, if I get nothing then she is getting booted and I will ask one of my GF's who were extremely disappointed that I didn't ask them to be a BM, whom will most likely make a better BM! Ok so enough venting.....
I attached a photo of a pair of brides shoes - she had all her BM's sign her wedding shoes - I thought this was a cute idea and I so want to do it! only one issue, I still haven't found my shoes!!!! |

Wedding Reception
Everything has changed
In exception for my colors - we changed our venue, including our ceremony location - invitations - and about to change a bridesmaid if she doesn't get her shit together :-)
So, we're no longer doing the outside wedding - we found a beautiful venue called 'The Players Club and Spa' located in Lely Resort in Naples, FL, it's breath taking! We are also doing our ceremony there! After shopping and looking at tents and the fine print - I was so frustrated, and relizing that the put up and take down was all on us an dmy family, why spend so much time setting up and getting frustrated when I'm supposed to be happy that day?!?! So we shopped around at venues and right when we gave up we found The Players Club! I'm also not doing cupcakes anymore I seen it done at a wedding this past weekend that I attended, and no offense I was no impressed and it looked more casual than formal. I rather do the traditional beautiful 4 tier cake and cake cutting with my honey! Oh yes, another big change was our date!!! Since this is a club - they could not accomadate the 1st of January! But we were actually happy when we found out. Mainly because we went back to our original date 1 - 15 - 10 and it got us a little further from Christmas and Thanksgiving and News Years.... We had first avoided that date because my cousin is to get married on 1 -16 - 10 but his mother who is my photographer informed us that they have nothing planned or set up for that date and doubts they will actually committ to that date. So I snabbed the 15th, and that's that! AND!!!! The players club actually matches my wedding! Their walls in the room are a light green clover color and all the umbrellas and other items are tangerine/orange and the light fixtures are calla lillies and the dark wood ceiling with a beautiful chandaelier!!! MY DRESS CAME IN, with it's TANGERINE sash! I can't wait!
I was going to go on Friday to pick up, but NO now I am going tomorrow night to pick it up, of course I am putting it back on and I finally get to see it with the Tangerine sash on! Before at DB I could only try a Mauve looking sash on, so I couldn't get the complete feel of the Tangerine in my dress! Which also BTW I found a DIY for my dress.... and I'm in love with it! |

DIY - HAVE TO GET ON THE BALL!
We've decided to do the signs for our wedding - so here we go, it will look similar to the ones you see.
We are also doing our centerpieces, card box, lights, all floral, table linens... and I hae 6 months.... OMG what am I getting mysef into! Our centerpieces will be fairly simple - long tall glass with single calla lillies in them. Our Table linens are for the 8 foot long tables we will do the ribbions and decoration on them ourselves. I think I'm going to go mad. I almost thought about doing our own cupcake cake - but I'm leaving that to the pro's. Also thinking about doing save-the-dates in a month - since our wedding falls on a holiday, well the day after. |

So excited!
So tomorrow we are all meeting at David's Bridal for an event for the bridemaids and also to have them try on all dresses - only one will not be able to attend and that's my 2nd MOH, she lives in GA so she can't come down for tomorrow.
But I am soo excited that everyone gets to meet each other!!!! Just felt like sharing that information! |

Ok I am in love with all of my tattoo's and so is my soon to be Hubby.... I have 2 on my back one on right shoulder blade - left shoulder blade - and one on the back of neck. (mind you the photo is not one of mine, it's one I'm looking at).... Well my thing is, I don't know whether I should cover them or not.... There is a tattoo cover kit, but shouldn't I marry the way I am?
