Wedding Music And Songs
Some music I'm liking

So, here are a few ideas of songs for the wedding.

Processional for ME:
Either Pachabel's Cannon in D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6heUdRr-E

OR

Low Strung's Version of Journey's Don't Stop Believing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a7DPlCmsKA.

OR
Mark Mothersbaugh's Let Me Tell You About My Boat - from the Life Aquatic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omvCE5HR1a8

The first is super traditional, but it means a bunch to me, and I always get pretty emotional when I listen to it. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing?? He loves this one too!

The Journey song is something I have loved ever since I watched The Wedding Singer and didn't even know what the original song was! This song is also a song that both Chris and I love and first bonded over :)

The third one is from a movie I have never seen, but I've heard it's great. I think it's just a really cute charming little song that is more upbeat that Pachabel...but it's different.

After we kiss, and everything is said and done:
Recessional..I'm thinking Hot Chocolate's I Believe in Miracles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW0PLT120yY&feature=PlayList&p=19A8B1F23F237A79&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=6

I think this would be hilarious and awesome and would get everyone straight into the party mode since the reception follows the ceremony directly.

For re-entrance into the Hall for the Wedding Party, I'm thinking another hilarious and fun song would be The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRYNYb30nxU and I apologize to anyone who has never seen the video. It's so brutal, but the song is fun. Don't know if we would walk into the room with the same song or not, but we shall see.

Any other fun songs for other ideas? A nice song for when the bridal party walks down? Doesn't have to be a classic by any means.

Right now I have no clue what we're doing for our first dance, so suggestions for that would be appreciated as well!! We welcome all music choices, but likely no R&B or Country. Something with a bit more of an upbeat tempo would be preferred too!

Other songs I would love to fit in somehow...feedback of when I could use these would be helpful!

You have the same sense of humour and same taste as me!  I too love Pachabel's Canon but have ended up choosing a different piece of music to walk down the aisle to (as I don't think anyone else will ever hear the same at another couple's wedding!).  I'm also keen on having fun songs throughout, keeping a laid-back feel to the wedding rather than a stiff formal affair!

Ya *h, I think I'm leaning towards that one..Pachabel would be a LITTLE out of place. Thanks for your input! Always appreciated!

I'm trying to think of a good song to leave the church to... I'd like Next's Wifey but not sure just how broad-minded the minister is... may need to check that one!  Reeeeally don't want the Bridal March!

Better Together is a good idea, love Sweet Disposition too.

The song I want to be played when cutting the cake is "Sweet Like Chocolate" by Shanks & Bigfoot as (obviously) it's a chocolate cake!

My 1st dance song is actually going to be kept secret, we're not telling anyone as we've been going on about the wedding to anyone that will listen so it'll be nice to have one surprise, at least!  It's a remix though, but no amusing dance routines!
