What are you doing to get in shape for your big day?

Hi Ladies!

I haven't been able to post in awhile since school has taking over every aspect of my life. Things are starting to slow down and I've been able to get into the swing of things so here I am blogging away. So I have a question for you ladies, what are you doing to get in shape for your BIG DAY? I recently ( about month+) joined the gym my FH and bunch of my friends attend but haven't been able to go as much as I want. After realizing that I only have a year+ to get into the shape I want to be in. I guess the biggest motivation that I have in my mind is that during that special day my FH's eyes (along with everyone else) will be on me and I want to look my best for him and especially myself. So I better get moving lol

I have been looking around on different websites looking for tips and what not and I actually bought a book called "Bridal Boot camp" that one bride suggested on a forum that I stubbled on. I've been looking at it and it says that the best way to lose weight is slow and steady because if not you start losing muscle tone, which makes you flabby. I thought that was interesting since I never really knew that. That makes me want to start a new healthy lifestyle and just be healthy all around which includes reducing stress, vitamins and just plain taking care of myself since I deserve it lol.

So have you guys started a regimen? Are you working out? Dieting? or On a new healthy begining like me? Any tips, suggestions and/or troubles?

i hit 13 months until the wedding a couple days ago and really stepped up my regime. I'm giving up pop and fast food until the wedding, going to the gym 4x a week to do weights (arm and upper body on monday and thursday, legs and cardio on tues and friday) and then I do the treadmill at him on monday, friday and saturday. I've also been watching what I eat and drinking TONS and TONS of water.

I started a blog on blogspot to kinda keep my accountable (and to also post abouu wedding stuff )

I'm mostly trying to maintain my weight and tone up more - especially those arms for the dress!

After Xmas I will be 6 months away so that's when I'll actually start dieting, just smaller portions and stay away from junk.  I dont eat too much of it now, but I'll actually cut it out at that point.

I exercise 6-7 times a week for 1-2 hours each time, either cardio or a mixture of cardio and weights, I do a lot of interval work and I run.  

I agree wtih daniellerenee on the drinking water, something i really do need to up doing.

I've just recently gotten serious about lossing weight and getting into shape too.
My mom and I have been doing a Zumba class twice a week. We have only been to 3 classes so far and it's really fun.  We are walking on our lunch breaks 3 times a week and I try to do Tae-Bo once or twice a week from a dvd. My mom in on NutiSystem but I can't afford it and I wanted to do more of a lifestyle change than a diet so I'm just trying to eat better and watch my portions.
