I just wanted to say thank you for all the good wishes and guidance on my planning stages for our wedding day. Our day was truly amazing and very emotional. It didn't start on time, hairdresser got lost, the boys limousine broke down on the way to the wedding, it was scorching hot and my make up ran, becuase the Max Factor associate didn't use the right stuff...etc, but we started off 1 hr and 45 minutes later. YIKES! Finally it happend and I was in teears, my father was in tears, my mother was in tears, there was not a dry eye in the church.
The reception was great, but some of the hotel decor wasn't completed. My hotel coordinator was missing in action and I am in complaint with them as we speak...blah, blah, blah...
Sorry, I don' t have our professional pics back yet from our photographer, but I will share some of our Naples, Italy and pictures. It was truly romantic and I wouldn't change our destination for the world! We took gondola rides every day, ate at the number 1 top scales restuarants for 18 days. It was amazing!
THE GOOD I want to really give it up to Partyshakers.com (Rhonda here at WBC), because without her help, she was the one to keep me sane through out all my decor needs. Our bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages ,aisle runner, table numbers, placecards, Lieu of Gift Cards, tears of joys pockets, programs, fans, menu tent cards and DJ request cards, she covered all that for us and I am highly greatful to her. We finally met at our wedding and it was so special to have her there. It was truly a gift to finally meet with her. Very classy, polite, sensitive and very spirtual. I needed that, because I was litterally falling apart that afternoon. It's quite strange, because as soon as I met her in my bridal suite, it was like a sense of relief, because everything was going wrong. My mom really thanked her for that. I thank GOD, for sending Rhonda my way. We prayed together, she wiped my tears, she reassured me that my day would be perfect, regardless off all the madness that took place that day. I honestly was at peace after that. The back up limo showed up with the boys and the wedding began. The service was beautiful, still much of a blur, but it was beautiful.
Our music started for me to come to my awaiting prince Daryl to "Don't Change" by Misiq Soulchild - one of our favorite songs. I remember seeing feathers, flowers, pink roses and sunlight through out every window then I saw Daryl. It was amazing, because there was a glare over him only from the window. He had a huge smile on his face as my dad handed me over to him for life. Daryl and I was in tears as our eyes met, my bridesmaids were in tears, the church was in tears. All the glares hit me once we were together, because I lost my older sister Teena to breast cancer, along with my Aunt Syan as well. You could feel their presence was within everyones souls that attended our wedding. It was truly a great feeling.
During the reception that went on throughout the night, Daryl and I said our speech together as one, then our guests came up and roasted us and said nice things as well. We laughed so much after that. Dancing went on through out the night with out midnight buffet of French Toast Balls, skewer Italian sausages and Luingusa, savory veggie platters and special savory dips and champagne till 2 a.m.
The best part also was Daryl and I took off by ourselves and walked the outside grounds for about 15 minutes and concentrated on just us. It was really needed and worth it, because when we returned it was amazing to see our guests eating and dancing. All was amazing.
We raised $4,222.00 to our favorite chairity American Cancer society, instead of receiving wedding gifts. This was the best gift of all!!! I'm getting chocked up just thinking about it! knowing that our money will be going to research and help to cancer patients.
I have more, but my husband is calling me...LOL I like that! MY HUSBAND!!! We have been working on a little bundle since our wedding night! LOL It's session 3 this morning!
Bye Girls! Much love to you and your planning, and for those that are marrying today.
Sorry, for some reason my photos are not loading. Typical on WBC! LOL
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS TARAH! You made it over that hump and welcome to our side of the world. Sorry for the delay of your wedding. I know it was emotional for you, based on the circumstances and stress felt through out, but the good thing is you are now married. Leave all the bad stuff behind and move forward with your Prince Daryl! LOL
I absolutely LOVE that song you used. I didn't think of that one! Wow! I'm glad you guys made it back from your honeymoon safely and baby practicing is a lot of fun! LOL! LOL! Whooowie, 3 sessions in one morning, I AM SO COOL! Trying to hard is not good either. Girl, you have to breathe sometime? LOL I so understand about trying for your first baby. We became pregnant 3 months after ours and it wasn't planned. See? We weren't even trying and it happened. LOL It is a beautiful thing though.
I'm so glad Rhonda was there for you. That extra word of wisdom when you are so nerveous and your mother stressing as well, that is totally awesome to have had her there. The Lord is so good to us! Amen! He always know when we really need that help and guidance.
