Disappointment

Has anyone been disappointed lately? Well, I am back at the planning phase for my wedding. Several weeks ago, my FH was told that he would be leaving to serve overseas..... Well, he left for training on November 16 and will return December 23. Then, on Dec. 26 he will accompany me to Virginia. I am scheduled to meet with my psychology department to brainstorm my dissertation topic. Soon after that he will depart for duty on Jan. 5. The sad news, is that he will not return before our scheduled wedding date. Oh my goosh, my heart simply hurts with disappointment! With this in mind, we had to postpone the wedding until 2010... I love him with all my heart. The only thing that will keep us sustain within this relationship, is the relationship we have with Christ. It will not be an easy transition for us, but staying focus on the Word of God will keep us focused and waiting to join as husband and wife. I look at our transition as a test of faith!

Maybe you guys should elope, of have a small wedidng in the next month while he's home and then focus on your big reception later? We did it 9 years ago and it was romantic and the reception was wonderful.

we're christians too. We got tired of waiting to be married. we eloped. LOL. now we're planning our formal wedding.
Absense makes the heart grow fonder. :)
