Ok, so I went and had my first facial at a spa a few months ago. Ahhhhmazing! I told the lady doing it I probably wasn't going to buy any of the facial products because it was out of budget.
I know the proactive topic came up a few times. Most had great results and some not so great. But here is another option.
At the end of the facial I was told about Cetaphil face wash. I bought it, use it twice a day and had/have good results. My skin is not sensitive but kind of oily.
The next thing she said to do was exfoliate 3 times a week, BUT to use BAKING SODA, put a small amount in your palm, add a few drops of warm water (enough to make a paste) and use it on my face (avoiding eyes). You have to just play with the amount of baking soda and water. I tried it in the shower (got a taste on accident - salty...duh). I left it on a few seconds, rinsed it off and my face felt SOOOOO damn soft!! I am totally in love with this new use for baking soda.
I just wanted to share it with you all! Again, I have normal to oily skin, not too sure how good or not it would be for sensitive skin. And don't try it too close to your wedding, I would hate for someone to have a reaction or something... but if you've got a couple months or so, give it a shot!
Baking Soda eh? That's a new one! Baking soda is like duct tape...Can fix anything!
The reason it makes your skin so soft is because baking soda is a natural substance that's in all living things and it helps regulate pH levels. It's great for self tanner prep too ;)
