Target and Kohls!!
I had SO much fun registering!! I had already picked out the bedding set I wanted at kohls but was having a hard time finding dishes I liked until I got to target and they were right there! :) Then I even found a flatware set that went amazing with it!
I also found my present for our daughter, the flower girl, its a Fisher Price little people Wedding set! She LOVES the little people. :) |

Booked DJ & Limo
Finally!!!
So I finally feel like I am getting back on track! Monday I booked our limo that we saw at the bridal show on Sunday, pictures on left. We have a 4 hours package, and we really wont use the last hour of it so I am hoping they would be willing to take the kids at the reception for rides..? I remember doing this at my aunt's wedding.
I finally got FH to decided on a DJ. I don't think he is really thrilled with it. We were having trouble finding someone who had an extensive Spanish and English music list. When I called Gateway Dj's my first question was if they had anyone bilingual on their staff and the manager started speaking to me in Spanish. So we got a guarantee that the manager will be our DJ and that we can make a list of all the songs we want Spanish wise and he will get them all for us!! The more I get done, the more I start to get nervous... :) |

Ordered my organza overlay
I ordered my silver organza overlay's from tableclothsfactory.com on Tuesday. It was cheaper for me to buy them online then to rent them! Plus I might even be able to sell them when I am finished.
I ordered 27of the 72" overlays for all the guest tables +cake+gift tables, and 4 table runners for the head table! The picture makes them look like the 2 are different colors, I am hoping they are the same but either way they wont be RIGHT next to each other so I don't think it that big of a deal. Ill let you know when they come in. Has anyone else ordered from tableclothsfactory.com? I am exicted that I have actually been getting things done!! This weekend we are going to a wedding convention and I hope to convince my FH to book a DJ, Limo, & maybe a Cake baker. At the conventions in the past they vendors have offered discounts for booking with them that day so I am hoping to get a few of those! lol. |

DIY Wedding
I've been working....
or slacking! whatever the case may be I need to get moving faster!!
I started making my card box. Ive assembled everything except the top. I just used picture frames from Michaels and 'L' brackets and hot glued it together. I will show finished pictures when its totally done. My $2 guest book I decided to spruce it up a little with some rhinestones. I like it. I might add a rhinestone buckle where it ties. I still need to do the Name card for us, I might include a picture. |

Bridesmaids
The start of gifts for my girls...
I finally took a picture of the bridesmaids bags I got in and I LOVE them! I also found cosmetic bags that match the pink initial on the bags and little manicure sets to put in them. I will still add more this is just the start.
So far: Bags $5 a piece Cosmetic Bag $2.50 from Wal-Mart Manicure Sets: $1 from target At this rate I'll still be able to get them something really nice! I dont think I will buy them wedding jewelry just because not everyone likes the same thing and that is their way of being their own style still. I found the book "100 things to do with a Bridesmaids dress" Its really funny and I think I might get it for them too.. I just have to check e-bay for a couple more. |

Where has the time gone?!
I still have so much to do and my weddings not that far away. Plus I want to make sure everthing is done before christmas....
FH and I are going to a wedding show next weekend because we NEED to book a limo, cake baker, and DJ. 3 really big things!! We are still having trouble with someone being bilingual so we are hoping he can find someone there for our DJ. I dont know how I have let this slack so much! Not to mention FH finally tore down our deck that had termites only to find out that the wood connected to the house was dry rotted, and now I have a hole right into my basement...and it rained/poured today. Just incase I did not already have enough to deal with. :( School, Working full time + OT, little time for my family, and this wedding is wearing me out...Its prolly why I have been sick and lost my voice... uhg.help?! |

Found Perfect Gift
for my FH!!!
FH has been saying he really wants a nice watch. Well I thought I would check a few out and get him one as a wedding gift little did I know I would be walking thru the Mall of America this weekend on a girls getaway trip and find the PERFECT one on clearance!! Gotta love sales! I was a little hesitant at first since it was the first one I have seen and hadn't even searched online yet.
His favorite color is blue and he said he wanted a 2 toned one SO this is perfect Plus its one of those that run off sunlight so we never have to get the battery changed! I don't think I am going to get it engraved because there is not much room on the back. I will probably just tie it up with a pretty ribbon and a tag that says "I love you till the end of time" yayayaya I love it! :) |

There are really no little boys in our family that would be suitable as a ring bear so I was thinking maybe making a Bear from build-a-bear and letting my daughter (the flower girl) carry that down the isle.

Wedding Flowers
So happy!!!
I met with my florist yesterday and was surprising thrilled about her creations. I sent her a picture of this centerpiece and she almost completely mocked it. It looked great. I was a little worried about her because she works out of her house and is not totally professional but she did excellent work!
The second and third pictures are my bridesmaids and my bouquets. I want to do 2 different centerpieces. One tall and one short. This obviously is my tall one but I need to start looking for a short one that flows with this one. A vote will probably be the next post. lol HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! |

Wedding Reception
DJ help!!
Ok so FH is Hispanic and listens to both Spanish and English music. Well we both like dancing to both. We are having trouble agreeing on a DJ for the reception. FH thinks we should have 2. I think that is too much money to spend on music. The other idea was to have an English DJ and a Mexican Band. But again we get expensive.
We both agree that unless we can find someone bilingual that we really like, they wont be fluent in the opposite language (like knowing what songs are popular now and also appropriate). We are having the wedding ceremony said in half English half Spanish. Are there any other bilingual weddings out there with ideas/solutions? Any St. Louis brides with DJ suggestions?! Thanks for your help!!!! |
