What do you think about a "stand-up" Wedding?
Yesterday I was reading a bridal magazine. It mentioned having enough chairs for the parents and elderly and have everyone else stand up. I thought that this would be something to consider for me because I am having my ceremony and reception at the same venue. Please let me know what you think! What would the pros and cons be???

I would rather go to a sit down wedding. lol Especially if you have guest that have traveled far. I don't know, I wouldn't want my guest to be standing...  And you never know how long a ceremony can take...

not a good idea, plus venues usually have set ups and breakdown stuff and they still charge you with out you even knowing.  You don' t want anyone passing out and ruinning your vows or any part of your wedding - old or young.

Since we are having an outdoor wedding thats what we are doing.... i think its a great idea if you are having it all at the same place... less clean up after the ceremony

When I went to my friends wedding last year half the guests ended up turning up late (even the bride herself showed up a half hour behind schedule!) because of a really bad accident on the highway. So, with them all showing up late and the ceremony having already started, instead of taking seats in the back rows, they opted to stand so they wouldn't disturb anyone. It was record heat that day, and they pretty much all complained during the reception about having to stand. Poor planning on my friends part- they didn't get enough chairs for the reception either!
